I always like to have a bath to make me feel relaxed and this definitely helped me feel a bit better.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXZ493HnfitI8r6giOMNk3MvtgXlOsBNlaihgthJ5cPndUepi3MvEVeboEX8yX89Sx_DNXqnQQwjbVDsHCxSo8XpwvAgoubdyFdM4_qLOhQs_zGtB9jB-waMNIKK7kMfkOAZsQqjXF_oxRlCvIRZeEUmay811zeNY6H-F0wPYPMaPQ4Mo4VP4K3q0yhS8/s3024/IMG_6658.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXZ493HnfitI8r6giOMNk3MvtgXlOsBNlaihgthJ5cPndUepi3MvEVeboEX8yX89Sx_DNXqnQQwjbVDsHCxSo8XpwvAgoubdyFdM4_qLOhQs_zGtB9jB-waMNIKK7kMfkOAZsQqjXF_oxRlCvIRZeEUmay811zeNY6H-F0wPYPMaPQ4Mo4VP4K3q0yhS8/w640-h640/IMG_6658.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">These are the products that I used in the bath. For my hair I used the TRESemme Nourish Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner which I absolutely love as I have oily hair that used to get very greasy and I used to have to wash my hair everyday but since using this shampoo and conditioner, I can now wash my hair every other day. It just makes my hair nice and soft plus makes it feel refreshed every time I use it. I also use the Radox Feel Uplifted shower gel and I love the smell of this plus buying a big bottle really makes it last so long. It's also a 50% recycled plastic bottle so it's also good for the environment. Anyway, I love using these products whenever I have a bath or shower as they make me feel good. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgB0U8rsSkGfISjaA7f9QoH2iQTdLMXtmRtBjUYM03SlKFRGq4YjogKJwGFaaMQvFjHKTNhdag6RYD2rw4yB9KYoYt2DU4fnHb1u8I7B_XCFzOicpJrYH1H6_rSzpu7mjrwORQMx-PnnO-ecc9OxwNUJO2iZxlHmSXcfKPQzHpfbAZNSCtQ69F9P6cO3lA/s3024/IMG_6661.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgB0U8rsSkGfISjaA7f9QoH2iQTdLMXtmRtBjUYM03SlKFRGq4YjogKJwGFaaMQvFjHKTNhdag6RYD2rw4yB9KYoYt2DU4fnHb1u8I7B_XCFzOicpJrYH1H6_rSzpu7mjrwORQMx-PnnO-ecc9OxwNUJO2iZxlHmSXcfKPQzHpfbAZNSCtQ69F9P6cO3lA/w640-h640/IMG_6661.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">During my relaxing bath, I don't like being in complete silence so I always have to watch something. On this day I decided to relax to a true crime video by Danielle Kirsty. I know I'm one of those people who relaxes to true crime stories. I just love the way Danielle talks about these cases in a very respectful way plus she does her makeup at the same time which is always satisfying to watch. I love the way she does her eyeshadow. It's so good.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_9l3TAaPFKolAMZyyUpRvuNSxyBLvfXhI39AuqFCutzgTktUYovaJXjso0TRLnsc3Ss5yfRZpZbE6DVAcAYGFS3B4Wga-caeosVOyWpxrfElLeLj3mzqtXiuucYzV6QdKcs_khvPiQEc3x8B4d048f9S-sxcPnOKDfzbC4r-h3wPF8mPYUiF-ciGjZ1M/s3024/IMG_6663.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_9l3TAaPFKolAMZyyUpRvuNSxyBLvfXhI39AuqFCutzgTktUYovaJXjso0TRLnsc3Ss5yfRZpZbE6DVAcAYGFS3B4Wga-caeosVOyWpxrfElLeLj3mzqtXiuucYzV6QdKcs_khvPiQEc3x8B4d048f9S-sxcPnOKDfzbC4r-h3wPF8mPYUiF-ciGjZ1M/w640-h640/IMG_6663.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">After my bath, I will put on my pyjamas as it's that point in the evening where I'm ready to relax and be comfy.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjS74Ul9cRUSQ1h8pFId7Ecw-3JgeAodiKD1HOOJXhSQXYu5ROjZrD0Cf3rEwzlKm9MFnvgahTvUbz_VWykVmFXkN-la0u36BGEWwPHm3W_rOz8f5MgzfjB8B0l9PRsjamsfD14L9a9jFdRviMsjnWiMCRH8OUeWfEENNfYDH6vto2KJS4xajJayOqUA28/s3024/IMG_6665.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="3024" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjS74Ul9cRUSQ1h8pFId7Ecw-3JgeAodiKD1HOOJXhSQXYu5ROjZrD0Cf3rEwzlKm9MFnvgahTvUbz_VWykVmFXkN-la0u36BGEWwPHm3W_rOz8f5MgzfjB8B0l9PRsjamsfD14L9a9jFdRviMsjnWiMCRH8OUeWfEENNfYDH6vto2KJS4xajJayOqUA28/w640-h640/IMG_6665.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Now it's time for a bit of skincare. I thought I'd share my top five favourite songs at the moment that I honestly can't help but listen to every time on my playlist.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>All You Wanna Do - Six The Musical</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Honestly, I relate so much to this song so much because it reminds me of pretty much all my exes. In the beginning of my dating journey I was a little naive shall we say where I thought everyone was in it to actually date a person. I then learned after a while that a lot of people were in it for just a bit of fun which kind of sucks and this song is essentially about that where Catherine Howard slowly realising the men's true intentions with and it's actually quite a sad song because you can feel her pain the further into the song we get. Honestly I've been there and I've now learned I'm never letting any man treat me as just a bit of fun. This is a power ballad for anyone that has had terrible dating experiences with their exes and I can't help but listen to it. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>I'll Be Ok - McFly</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">One of my favourite McFly songs of all time. I love it because it reminds me that when things are down, I'm still ok at the end of it all. It's just a great song to remind yourself that you're not alone and that things go wrong sometimes but just remind yourself that you will get through it and be okay at the end of it. Honestly, McFly is my favourite band and their Wonderland album is my favourite of all time. It's also why there'll be another McFly song on this list because I love them so much.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Your Song - Ewan McGregor </b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Honestly, ever since I first watched Moulin Rouge and heard this song for the first time sung by this man. I was so in love. He has such a beautiful voice and I just love his harmonies. It makes me so happy everytime I hear this version of this song because it's so beautiful that I can never skip it. I have to listen to it every single time. It's a great song and a great voice. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Don't Know Why - McFly</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Another relatable song that I love listening to. I read that Danny and his sister wrote this song. I read the reasoning behind the song from McFly's autobiography and I found myself relating to it because that's how I felt about certain things that happened in my life. I'm sorry I'm being very vague but I'm not about to spill the tea on my thoughts about certain parts of my life that have definitely affected me but the song lyrics really speak to me when I hear them. Plus if you have ever read about the story behind the song then that will give you a little insight into my own life. There is so much in this song I relate to and honestly I am so glad to have this song in my life because sometimes you just need a song where the lyrics really speak about how you feel and this song is definitely one of those songs that does it for me.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Neverland by Finding Neverland</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">This is such a beautiful song and I absolutely love it. Honestly, when I was younger I used to dream of flying away to Neverland and when I heard this song it reminded me of those happy times where I used to believe Neverland and Peter Pan were real. It's also just nice to have a place in your mind that you can escape to from time to time especially when life is getting you down. This is such a beautiful song and I honestly love listening to it because it makes me so happy but also reminds me of simpler times where everything wasn't as stressful. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">There we have it. Those are my top five favourite songs at the moment. Let me know what your favourite song is at the moment in the comments below. I would love to hear it.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post for you. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x</span></b></i></div></i><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

Fear not, for I am here to help you out with five tips on how to be productive. Hopefully, after this post you will finally have that motivation to be productive. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>1. Wake up earlier</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Waking up earlier is a proven way to be productive because it means you have more time in the day to get things done. It may be a struggle at first to set an earlier alarm but the more you do it and get into a good sleep routine where you're getting enough hours of sleep then soon your body will get used to those early mornings. I always feel more productive to get things done earlier. Even at university, I'd wake up earlier so I can go to the library as soon as it opens because I know the sooner I get my work done then the sooner I can relax later on. Try for one week waking up earlier and see how much more time you'll have to be productive and soon it will become a part of your daily routine. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>2. To-Do Lists</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Honestly, to-do lists are my best friend. I swear I make a to-do list almost every day of all the things I want to do. I don't make huge lists but making a to do list allows me to physically see what I need to get done in the day. I always start with the thing I don't want to do as the sooner I get it done the easier it will be to achieve everything else on my list. Plus it's a really nice feeling to cross everything off your list because then when you cross the last thing off your list then it shows you've had a very productive day. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>3. Tidy Up Clutter</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">I am someone who cannot be productive when there is clutter around. Even now when I'm working on these blog posts, I cannot stand to have any clutter on my desk or any mess around me because it will distract me and I won't be able to focus until that clutter is cleared up. It's also a great way to put you in the mood to be productive because tidying up and cleaning is a productive activity. You're doing something productive without even realising it. Even if it's just getting rid of bits that are just sitting around whether it's random pens, hair bobbles, paper etc. Picking it up and putting things away can really help to clear your space and it will motivate you to work better because you're not being distracted by any clutter but also you've done a job for the day which is tidying up your space. Start tidying and I can guarantee it will make you feel productive. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>4. Go for a walk</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Sometimes all you need to get yourself motivated to be productive is taking a step outside and going for a walk. Even if it's just around the block, up the road or on the seafront. Sometimes we can find ourselves stuck indoors all day whether it's at work or at home on our day off. It can be so tempting when we're at home, not to do much when we've got all our comforts around us. Sometimes the best cure for getting some motivation to be productive is to go for a walk outside. This is not only good for your health that you're getting in some daily exercise but it's also a way of clearing your mind so that when you get back you can focus on all the things you need to do. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>5. Reward yourself</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">We all have things we don't want to do sometimes and those things are productive but sometimes it's very easy to procrastinate these things and before you know it, time has gone by and suddenly it's too late to complete those things you wanted to get done. This is where you need to compromise with yourself and give yourself a reward. It doesn't have to be a big reward but it can give you that little bit of motivation to do something productive. For example if you have an assignment or deadline looming, tell yourself that if I spend two hours working on this then I can go out and hang out with my friends or play a video game. Sometimes having something to look forward to after being productive can be motivation in itself. Plus you'll feel good afterwards knowing you've had a productive day. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">There we have it. Those are my five tips on how to be productive. Let me know what your biggest tip on how to be productive is in the comments below. I would love to hear it and maybe we can all help each other out. </div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back again tomorrow with another post.</div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x</span></b></i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

The independence</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">One of the best things about moving away from home and going to university is the independence. Finally, you can learn how to be an adult and do things on your own without your parents being there. It's a chance to learn how to cook, clean, shop and look after yourself. Finally, your life is in your hands. Of course you have lecturers telling you what to do but you have complete freedom to do what you like. It's also a chance on how to learn how to live on your own. Before I went to university, I didn't even know how to do laundry and the only thing I knew how to cook was noodles. Gradually, I learned how to do those things. Granted, the first time in the laundry room, I went with people and secretly got help on how to do it. I learned you just set the timer, throw in a pod thing and then hit start. Soon I was doing my laundry every week, cooking things other than noodles although you could never go wrong with some noodles and learn that you think you're messy then you learn other people can be messier than you. It makes you feel a little bit better and appreciate how your mum felt when she told you to tidy your room or wash your dishes. You know nothing until you want to wash your dishes but someone else has shoved their dirty dishes in the sink without cleaning them or even leaving them to soak. They're just sitting there. I soon made use of the sink in my room and just washed my dishes there because I couldn't handle doing it in the shared kitchen. Very gross. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>2. Freshers</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Honestly, my first year of Fresher's was the best because I did everything all week. I remember on my first day of University, I met half the people in our hall and we all got together on the first night to go out to the student bar. It was honestly incredible and I'll never forget that feeling that for the first time, I had people to go on a night out with. It made me feel less alone and it was because of that I eventually met two of the girls I'd be sharing my student house with in the next year. It was great and I have so many fond memories of my first year Freshers Week. It was wild and honestly I do not regret any of it. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>3. Exploring a different part of the country</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">As I went to university in Warrington and Manchester it was honestly a great opportunity to explore a different part of the country. I was so used to living in Wales and down in Bristol that it was nice to explore a different part of the country. I went to so many new places such as Chester, Liverpool and Manchester. It was a great time of my life. I used to take myself on a day trip on the train and go somewhere new from time to time. I honestly loved where both my universities were and I'm so glad I chose them because they were so near to everything. One of my fondest memories was when I was feeling down and to cheer myself up I decided to go on a day trip to the Trafford Centre for the first time on my own. It was incredible because I even went to the cinema by myself and discovered how fun it was to go to the cinema on my own. I honestly loved living up north when I went to university. It was such a great place to be. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>4. The uni work</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">At the time, I used to complain about doing assignments and going to lectures but I kind of miss that structure of it because your life revolved around doing work while also learning how to be a functioning adult. Some of the lectures were interesting and I loved doing coursework especially for my advertising degree when I used to let my mind wander and be creative. I felt I picked up new skills and I didn't even know how to use Photoshop or Illustrator and now I know them very well. I even learned how to reference while at university which is something I never even learned in school. Plus the assignments gave me a purpose to work hard. The amount of times I used to spend working in the library. I had a whole routine set out and I picked a favourite spot in the library which I'd always go to early in the morning as soon as the library would open. I did enjoy those times very much. I know I'm a weirdo but I do love working on a project. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>5. The end result</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Honestly, going to university is worth it for the end result which is achieving your degree. My two degrees sit proudly in their frames in my mum's house and I honestly can't help but gush at them. I know I was able to achieve those two degrees on my own and through my own hard work. Even my master's degree which I'd done during a pandemic through online courses and lectures. I don't even know how I managed it but I did it because I wanted to do well. Honestly, doing a degree isn't a waste of time because people forget how much work you actually have to do in order to achieve your degree. Even doing a dissertation which I did for both my degrees isn't just a piece of cake. I had help with my first dissertation but with my master's dissertation, I barely had any help because my supervisor was an email away and me being shy ignored the emails I received yet somehow I got a merit grade on my dissertation without any help.I remember I spoke to one supervisor to tell her what I was going to do for my dissertation and because it was split into two parts, I think halfway through my supervisors got switched and I'd never even emailed or spoken to that supervisor. I'm not saying that is the best strategy but because of the circumstances where everything was done online, through emails and team calls. I didn't really have much of an opportunity to interact with my supervisor. I decided to go at it solo and luckily for me it paid off but perhaps I could have gotten a distinction had I interacted with my superviors. Either way I can safely say I got two degrees to my name which is a wonderful feeling and makes me so glad I went to university twice. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">There we have it. Those are the things I loved about university. Let me know what you love about university in the comments below. I would love to hear your thoughts. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post for you.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x</span></b></i></div></i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

There were a lot of things I'd wish I'd done differently so here are five things I regret about university. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>1. Moving into a student house</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">For my second year, I moved into a student house and it was great because it was nice to have my own place plus I got to share with three others. It was nice to have our own bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living room. Plus it was a nice house. However, one thing that happened was it did feel a bit isolated from university. Freshers were definitely not the same and it definitely didn't feel like we were a part of the action on campus even though we were a five minute walk away. We never really got involved with any student events and it just felt like we were out of the way from other students. As much I loved living in the student house as it was nicer than halls to an extent, however it was very isolating.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>2. Doing a master's degree during a pandemic</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Now hopefully this only ever happens once in everyone's lifetime but I decided to do a master's degree in 2020. For those of you that remember was the year of the pandemic filled with self isolations, social distancing, online classes, face masks, and no toilet paper in shops. Fun times. I could have deferred a year but because I'd applied and got accepted before the pandemic hit. Plus I was ready to take the next step in my life. Plus I thought things might get better and everything would just go back to normal by the time I went to university. How wrong I was. In the beginning, I was able to move to Manchester and get to do face to face lectures for a while. Then of course things got worse so the online lectures took over and then I never had a face to face lecture again. It definitely didn't feel like university, especially for four months I was stuck at home because it was recommended not to travel. At least I got a discount on my rent but it wasn't the same as the first time I went to university. I got unlucky because I was on the top floor and only two other people lived in the flat I lived in and I hardly saw them. It was kind of tricky because there wasn't really an opportunity to meet people. The only people I interacted with were on my course but even then it wasn't the same as meeting face to face. I wish I'd deferred a year because I would have had a chance to meet more people had I done my master's during normal times.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>3. Media Studies</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">My degree was in advertising and media studies because it was a combined course. At the time, I thought they'd go hand in hand. Now I kind of regret that decision because the part I loved about my degree was advertising and being creative whereas media studies was more about theory and studying things like news and documentaries. I did enjoy some aspects of it like my dissertation but I also didn't enjoy the essays we had to do. I kind of wish I'd chosen to do advertising on its own or do film studies instead as I do enjoy film. However, I am grateful that I did do media studies as I had a great dissertation supervisor who was one of my media studies lecturers and I don't think I would have gotten a good mark on my dissertation without her so I am grateful for that. If I had to do my whole university degree again though, I might have chosen to do either advertising on its own or advertising and film studies. Sorry, media studies. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>4. Not joining a club or society</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">The issue I had with my university was that there weren't many clubs or societies. It was mainly just sports and not much else so unless you were into a sport you couldn't really join any other clubs or societies. I do wish there were more options at my university for clubs because it would have been nice to make more friends while I was at university. I do feel like I missed out on an opportunity there.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>5. Making more friends</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Something I really wish I had done was make more friends at university and perhaps if I'd done things differently like stay in halls or joined a club or society or even did my degree out of a pandemic then perhaps I would have made more friends. It would have been nice to make lifelong friends that I'd be able to see from time to time but sadly it doesn't seem to be the case. It wasn't a lack of trying because I did try but sometimes life gets in the way and things happen. One thing I do regret from university is not making as many friends. Perhaps if I had my chance again, I would have made more of an effort. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">There we have it. Those are five things I regret about university. Let me know if you have any regrets about university in the comments below. I would love to hear your thoughts. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back again tomorrow with another post.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x </span></b></i></div></i><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

Now rather than studying for them, you're searching up ways on how to study. Well, I'd thought I'd help you out by sharing my tips on how I studied when I was in school and university.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Let's get started.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>1. Find what works for you</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Remember everyone is unique. We all pick up information and learn things differently. Some people are more visual whereas some prefer writing everything down. Some even prefer to listen to things through audio. Try different methods before you start to see which one works best for you. You might prefer, writing everything down or typing it out. You might prefer just reading and highlighting the information. You might prefer seeing it visually through images or diagrams. You might prefer listening to podcasts, lectures, and videos. It's always good to know what works for you because everyone is different and we all can retain information in different ways so even though it works for someone one way, doesn't mean it will work for you that way. You might find a different approach to studying is better for you and that's okay. There's no right or wrong way to study as long as you are studying. That's the most important thing especially when it comes to exams and assignments.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>2. Don't leave it all to the last minute</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Trust me. You may think you have all the time in the world but these exams and deadlines sneak up on you and before you know it it's the month of the deadline. It's really important not to leave it all to the last minute because you might think you're going to get that adrenaline rush of motivation and while you do, it's also the most stressed out you will be and you will wish you did it sooner. I did this twice while I was in university. I did two assignments the night before they were due and I have never been so stressed out. Even though I thought that the deadline was the next day which gave me that burst of motivation, it was not good for my stress levels because I was pressured to find all the information in one day and put it all in an assignment. Even though I somehow passed that assignment, it only just passed. However, if I had made an effort to do it sooner. One I could have probably found better information but put more time into my assignment. Not just rely on when I hit the word count because that was the main focus of doing my assignment the day before it was due. Trust me when I say, do not leave your assignment the night before it's due. It really isn't worth it. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>3. Write down all your references in a document</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">One thing I hated about assignments was referencing because you always had to have a certain number of references and the worst bit was actually searching for them. Of course it's probably easier now with E-Books where you can just search words on them. Back in my day I used physical books and searched the index. What I used to do was use books that were referenced in lecture slides but also just search in the library catalogue topics related to my assignment to see what would show up. I then borrowed books and I used to borrow five at a time because I knew I needed those references. I then go to the index and find the topics related to my assignment and I'd go to every page and I'd make a note of every single possible reference I would use. I'd also make a note of the page number as well as have the reference for the book as well in a document. This really helped me out because having a document filled with different references really helped me out and of course.I could compare references, use them in arguments to say whether someone agrees or disagrees. One tip that really helped me out from a lecture when it comes to references is make a point, back it up with a reference then explain it. This is what really helped me when it came to doing my assignments. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>4. Create a study schedule</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Sometimes it can be hard to know when to fit in studying, especially if you have a lot of exams coming up and don't know where to start. It's useful to know when you have your exam timetable as you know which order your exams are coming in and then you can base your schedule around that. I also find studying for around two hours can really be beneficial to me because an hour just flies by but with two hours you're guaranteed to get a lot done and it will soon fly back.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>5. Have a dedicated work space</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">I know it's tempting to study from the comfort of your bed but you have to remember that your bed is for sleeping and relaxing. Your body also knows this so whenever you're in bed, you're going to feel more relaxed and lazy so when you try to study on your bed, you're not going to fully be focused as you would if you're sitting at a desk because your body is thinking that you're relaxing or about to go to sleep. I know it's comfy but you won't be as productive if you study on the bed. That's why it's good to have a dedicated work space like a desk so that you know when you're at this space that it's time to be productive. Plus you'll be twice as productive at your desk then your bed as you'll be sitting up straight as you won't be in a comfortable position so you can focus more. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>6. Instrumental music</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Something that really helped me when it came to studying and doing my assignments was listening to instrumental music. I just didn't like working in silence but I found music with lyrics to be too distracting so a compromise for me was instrumental music. One soundtrack I listened to was the Titanic soundtrack because it just put me in the mood to work on assignments. Especially if I was searching up references. It really helped a lot to listen to one of the most iconic soundtracks. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>7. Take regular breaks</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">It can be tempting to work as much as you can but it's really important to take regular breaks. Sometimes you need to take five to ten minutes away from your work to clear your head. Whether that's to make more coffee or even just stepping outside for some fresh air. It's always good to have moments away from your work because otherwise you'll just crash and burn. Plus sometimes stepping away from your work for a short time can give you a new perspective and maybe even make you think of something that you didn't think of before so don't forget to take a break from your studying. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>8. Reward yourself</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Something that really motivated me to study was having a reward at the end of it. Whether it was having a nice meal or playing a video game I've been enjoying recently. Having that reward at the end of a study session can really motivate you to work harder because then if you've worked hard then you know you've earned that reward. It doesn't have to be a big reward every time but having something to look forward to after your study session can really push you to get it all done. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">There we have it. Those are my study tips to help you with your studying. Let me know if you have any study tips in the comments below and maybe we can help everyone who has exams and assignments coming up in the next few months. I wish you good luck if you are one of those people. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post.</div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x</span></b></i></div></i><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

I've done a few scrapbooking before where I've compiled memories I've collected over the years but recently I decided to go down a more arty, creative scrapbooking route. I was inspired by YouTube videos such as Diário Da Chelse and Chacha Note ASMR as they are really creative with their scrapbooking. Plus it's satisfying to watch that it got me inspired to try it out for myself and honestly, I've been loving it. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Just putting different pieces together is really fun to do. I'm not the best at it but it's something that has kept me occupied and just something to do that doesn't involve a screen. I brought letter stamps as well as scrapbooking paper and different bits that I'm excited to put together. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">It was pretty straightforward how I got started. I bought a scrapbook then bought supplies from the Works and Amazon then I just let my mind wander through different styles. I've had a lot of fun so far and I'm excited that the more I work on the better the pages will look then eventually I'll be able to have a whole book full of my scrapbooking which I'm very excited to see. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Here are just a few of the first pages of my scrapbook so far. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; Because I have. Many times.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">Whether it's something that has happened in my work when I've worked in customer service, you do get people that somehow find ways to get under your skin and you really try not to let it get to you but then it somehow finds a way of getting there and then you can't stop thinking about it. You feel on edge, upset, angry or just frustrated that you let someone get to your feelings like that. Even though all you were trying to do was help them. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I've started learning that life is too short to get upset over negative people and just things that bring me down. Instead I'm just going to cancel it out by turning the negative into a positive. I've come to learn you can't please everybody and you're always going to get negative people but those people don't matter. Focus on positive things where it's an upcoming trip you're excited for or you're excited to get off work so you can just chill out and relax. It's really important to find the positives in life and cancel out the negative because there's a lot of horrible things going on in the world at the moment. It's always good to find the silver lining in situations so if something negative happens, you can think to yourself that yes it sucked but at least I have something good to look forward to. Soon you'll realise it's a lot easier to cancel the negative out of your life than you think.</div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Let me know how you cancel the negative in your life in the comments below. I would love to hear your thoughts on it. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back again tomorrow with another post.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x</span></b></i></div></i><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

When you're an adult, you're officially becoming independent because you have to learn how the real world works. When you're in school and university, the world is like a bubble. You kind of still have some authority figures in your life. Afterwards though, you have to work things out for yourself and realise it's on you to get things sorted.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Things like finding a job, working out where you're going to live, paying bills and you have to do most of these things on your own. I'm quite lucky because I'm 27 years old and I'm currently living at home because my financial situation won't be enough to live on my own. That's okay because most adults in their twenties live at home because they can't afford rent, mortgages and bills etc. Of course we're at home, saving to eventually move out but at least we're living comfortably. I'm lucky that going to university, I've had that experience of living on my own in two different cities. I've had an experience of fending for myself and it was nice. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Living at home, I still feel independent because last year I made the decision to have a career change on my own because I was done with my job and wanted to try something new. I'm now in a job that has potential for growth plus I'm earning more money which is always a bonus. I still do a lot of things on my own but maybe not as much as I used to when I was living on my own. I definitely realised I can be independent. I can do things like going to the cinema on my own or eating in a cafe alone. That's okay because a lot of people do it and sometimes you don't even realise it. It's nice to know that you don't always need to be surrounded by people to have a good time and it shows that you can be a happy, successful, independent person. It doesn't mean that you won't be happy when you do eventually find your people, because being with people is nice too. If anything it shows your strength and courage to get out there and do things on your own without feeling sad about it. If anything you should feel proud of it that you have found the bright side of being independent. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and let me know if you've ever been to the cinema on your own. One day they just stop communicating with you and when you try to reignite the conversation again, you often find yourself being left on read. You hope they'll get in touch with you again but they don't even give you a hello, let alone a reason why they've cut ties with you. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I've been ghosted a couple of times and it honestly sucks because everytime I think things are going well and I get hopeful that the other person might actually like me. Then before I know it they do the disappearing act on me with no explanation. I've been down the route where I've almost been desperate to try to keep them in my life by messaging them again and reigniting the conversation. Most of the time though you soon realise they're not interested from the messages they've sent. There seems to be no future, no possibility of meeting up and the conversation is a bit dry. Plus they don't even seem to check up on you or be interested in your life so you realise it's pointless to keep messaging them. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">There was only one time where it really got to me because I met this guy online and we ended up messaging then met up a few times. It was nice, we ended up going for a drive, watching movies together and we seemed to get along. I thought things were going well because I even stayed over at his place once but then all of a sudden the communication just stopped. One day he just stopped replying even though he'd read the last message. I didn't let it bother me at first because sometimes you have to understand that people have lives and jobs. Sometimes they're just busy and won't always reply straight away even though they've seen the message. I messaged him again after a couple of days but the conversation didn't seem to go anywhere and once again he stopped replying. That's when I knew I was being ghosted because if he was interested then he would have eventually replied or even messaged me again within the week. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">A lesson I've learned is that if someone wanted you in their life, they would make the effort. They wouldn't ghost you. They may leave you on read for reasons like working or sleeping or they're just doing something else. I've done it before where I read a message while I was playing a video game and just completely forgot to reply after a couple of hours but I eventually did reply and explained what I had been doing. Even just giving a reason why they took a while to reply is a simple act to show they care because they might have been worried why you weren't replying. That's okay. However, when they stop replying and you find yourself always being the one to message first every single time to reignite the conversation, that's when you should realise they are not bothered about whether or not you're in their life. They stop replying and normally only message you because they want something from you or are just bored. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Here's my message to you if you find yourself being left on read. Don't beg for their attention. Messaging them first once is okay but if it happens again where they stop replying to you and then don't message you within the week then that's the sign that they're ghosting you and it's time to cut your losses. Just remember if someone wants you in their life then you will know. Always be aware of people's actions towards you and think about how much effort you should put into relationships and friendships because sometimes it could be one sided and you'll be the one getting hurt. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">Anyway, that's my little rant about being ghosted. It happens and it sucks. This is why I've taken a break from online dating because I don't want to get my hopes up again and end up being ghosted. Let me know if you've ever been ghosted in the comments below and maybe we can all realise we're not alone. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post. </div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><b><div style="text-align: center;"><b><i><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x </span></i></b></div></b><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

I've been really enjoying reading this past couple of months and I'm excited to share with you the books on my reading list. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Let's get started!</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZXWPFCu4f4Ny4sotCNsPYSwrUH2qtonOiT26kSJULBGiTqdGHPfsIwP6LRkeP7ARikALnVGP2tOBARrvQ8gdoCsoP1gS1aYre5_nAMxzDMi0ey3Zt0uoHz6q5EV76yc794_8_aAJ4jBEsBecqoYckuq9swGj4j6rAFHJOSon-vlg-TtuIWz4obvct3GE/s5152/IMG_3491.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZXWPFCu4f4Ny4sotCNsPYSwrUH2qtonOiT26kSJULBGiTqdGHPfsIwP6LRkeP7ARikALnVGP2tOBARrvQ8gdoCsoP1gS1aYre5_nAMxzDMi0ey3Zt0uoHz6q5EV76yc794_8_aAJ4jBEsBecqoYckuq9swGj4j6rAFHJOSon-vlg-TtuIWz4obvct3GE/w640-h480/IMG_3491.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><b><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Surprise Me By Sophie Kinsella</b></div></b></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">This is a book that I started reading previously while I was on holiday one year but I didn't really get into much so I put it down and never got back to reading then I ended up donating it instead. It wasn't until I came across this book in a charity shop for £2 that I thought I'd give it another chance. Honestly, I've been enjoying it so far because it's about a husband and wife who discover they are going to be married for the next sixty years of their life and suddenly that scares them. I know for many that might be a nice thought but for this couple, their marriage seems to have fallen into the same daily pattern and they are worried about getting bored. That's where they decide to start surprising each other to keep their relationship fresh and full of surprises. It's definitely an interesting concept and I'm only a few chapters in this story but I'm really glad I gave this book a second chance to read. It's also becoming my goal to read all of Sophie Kinsella's books which I'm hopeful to achieve this year as she is one of my favourite authors. This one is definitely surprising me so far and I can't wait to see what happens next. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUSm3Vc74bpHOHdqbd85FbAz13554kUlZd5AhSgFhYtZp0A1ddQ8KTW4K3HofiSAOG1o4_6wc9xGTWlv4SwtSk_bV3PMOhPzWfBw0Vz1JnCKypmZXQ8oqD3HYStM_YZIbt6ujUFjpBXPN9SSDghossLkxsVB2F09JRo5vcQPuFxHz7zGLvF8I4vXH3kSw/s5152/IMG_3492.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUSm3Vc74bpHOHdqbd85FbAz13554kUlZd5AhSgFhYtZp0A1ddQ8KTW4K3HofiSAOG1o4_6wc9xGTWlv4SwtSk_bV3PMOhPzWfBw0Vz1JnCKypmZXQ8oqD3HYStM_YZIbt6ujUFjpBXPN9SSDghossLkxsVB2F09JRo5vcQPuFxHz7zGLvF8I4vXH3kSw/w640-h480/IMG_3492.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><b><div style="text-align: center;"><b>The Burnout by Sophie Kinsella</b></div></b></div><div style="text-align: center;">This is Sophie Kinsella's latest novel and I'm excited to read it because I feel I'm going to relate so much to the character of Sasha as she is over everything in her life from her work, love life, friends and she's hit a brick wall. Honestly, I find myself feeling the same way from time to time. It's basically where Sasha decides to change her life by drinking kale smoothies, trying yoga and being one with nature by going on a getaway to a resort in Devon. This book has intrigued me and I want to read this to see if I can learn a thing or two from Sasha's journey to improving her life. I always enjoy reading Sophie Kinsella's books so I'm excited to read this one as I'm hopeful it will be just as good as her previous books.</div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiV4L1Kqfkkcfp4ZHlLg03goI77sZmb2mCa4yQvSrB559M62q3JGNlFrRKGj9yTepT7SwSgglPDJymS7U0kVv1Ahgkykv9gytFUaxvQEmKsGiIfc_pTTiGdvCfw0g_qh69AmL73RNg8ptHSRtbYJSQHNS4qTiwkRrcz9CZBJtBgyw44YN9qUTcQIBul9Hs/s5152/IMG_3494.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiV4L1Kqfkkcfp4ZHlLg03goI77sZmb2mCa4yQvSrB559M62q3JGNlFrRKGj9yTepT7SwSgglPDJymS7U0kVv1Ahgkykv9gytFUaxvQEmKsGiIfc_pTTiGdvCfw0g_qh69AmL73RNg8ptHSRtbYJSQHNS4qTiwkRrcz9CZBJtBgyw44YN9qUTcQIBul9Hs/w640-h480/IMG_3494.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><b><div style="text-align: center;"><b>As Old As Time A Twisted Tale Novel by Liz Braswell</b></div></b></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">One of my favourite Disney movies is Beauty and the Beast which is why when I saw this book in Tesco one day, I just had to pick it up. I heard of these Twisted novels before and I believe I had one before which I think was something to do with Aladdin but I just never got around to reading it and then I forgot what I'd done with it. Yet when I saw this I thought why not give it a chance as it's based around one of my favourite Disney movies for starters but obviously as the title suggests it's a twisted tale. It's set during the time Belle is trapped in the castle with the beast where it is discovered that there might be a connection between Belle's mother and the enchantress which is kind of intriguing to me. It gives a whole new perspective to the story that I know and love so much which is why I'm excited to read this book to find out more about it. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgofR-fS-ApbI4-t0-UrsVib1v0-E8L_7f3PcpTaf5X05_1ZF7WkAKCtOfYkRIjveqJZYRxxc8nS-IIc28ATXNpBN-uQRIK9-8gu-8irVD2ZYNy_rjW0pCSaB7Qaip5cmJ2ZALgha6YAO0zlcHIFsccqqoH0tKOhnHYGx3pr08kJJ0MI_SNKWVrF0IfmiQ/s5152/IMG_3499.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgofR-fS-ApbI4-t0-UrsVib1v0-E8L_7f3PcpTaf5X05_1ZF7WkAKCtOfYkRIjveqJZYRxxc8nS-IIc28ATXNpBN-uQRIK9-8gu-8irVD2ZYNy_rjW0pCSaB7Qaip5cmJ2ZALgha6YAO0zlcHIFsccqqoH0tKOhnHYGx3pr08kJJ0MI_SNKWVrF0IfmiQ/w640-h480/IMG_3499.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><b><div style="text-align: center;"><b>This Spells Love by Kate Robb</b></div></b></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">This is a book that I decided to pick up when I was browsing Tesco one day and it was actually an offer when you get two books so I ended up going for this one and the final book on this list. I briefly read the blurb and was intrigued that I put it in my basket. Although when I got home, I'm really glad I went for this book because it's about love and making an accidental wish that something never happened which has even bigger implications than you imagine. Gemma is dealing with a bad breakup and makes a wish that it never happened. The wish ends up coming true when her ex is out of the picture, however it also means that her male friend that could have potentially been something more now no longer knows who she is. This got me excited because I know it's going to be a good read where we follow Gemma's journey as she thinks she's done a good thing by wishing her relationship never happened but the realising it has costed her friendship with her male friend who could have potentially been something more and now she has to work out how to get that friendship back. I'm excited to see where this story goes and I've never read anything by Kate Robb before so I'm excited to read a new author. I have high hopes for this one and already hope it will be a good read. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgprWtYwND8EX73WJwnIDf_nGOygBxX1XJ8YBdbfeJ8AVR00VvsY8i3PBsIFa8fjkUeNTsDE7WNFYNjG1CvAApspNQosm-mfehi1sPETchXI9Phs11Q1UXjNBZ510g6VByyLv09Xd08zhFwtWkpmMTGgsezy_i79VIoz5eVRlogx8l3fZA2iF9GDkMG740/s5152/IMG_3501.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgprWtYwND8EX73WJwnIDf_nGOygBxX1XJ8YBdbfeJ8AVR00VvsY8i3PBsIFa8fjkUeNTsDE7WNFYNjG1CvAApspNQosm-mfehi1sPETchXI9Phs11Q1UXjNBZ510g6VByyLv09Xd08zhFwtWkpmMTGgsezy_i79VIoz5eVRlogx8l3fZA2iF9GDkMG740/w640-h480/IMG_3501.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><b><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Preloved by Lauren Bravo</b></div></b></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">This title immediately caught my eye when I saw it on the shelf and as I mentioned there was an offer in Tesco when you buy two books so I chose this book as well. It was another book I related to because Gwen is drifting away from people and when she has moments of joy she has no one to tell even though she knows people in her life. She's not quite close to them anymore which I can understand wholeheartedly because as you get older you do sometimes end up not being close to people anymore. Gwen realises she's lonely and decides to visit a charity shop which is the place of pre-loved things and she's hoping to find a fresh start here. Honestly, I'm excited for this read because again it's a journey about finding yourself and honestly it's something I love to read about because I hope to do the same as these characters do. Plus this is a book by an author I've never read before so I'm excited to read it. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">There we have it. That's my up to date reading list and I'm excited to read all these books on the list. Let me know if you have any book recommendations, I'm always looking for new books to read. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x </span></b></i></div></i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

I think what helped was that I read a book series in the past two months which is why it's so many and I will get onto that. I thought I'd talk you through the books I've read and loved so far in 2024. Let's get started!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>The Good Girl's Guide Murder Series by Holly Jackson</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">I will admit I did read the first book last year but I read the next two books plus the novella at the start of 2024 and I gotta say, I thoroughly enjoyed this series. I loved the first book and the second book was even better. It made me worried that the third book wouldn't be as good but I was wrong. Honestly, it just got better and better. As someone who watches true crime videos on YouTube for fun, this was definitely worth a read and I'd highly recommend it. This is a series that really gets better and better with every book. Honestly, these books were my favourite of 2024 and I'm so glad to have read them. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Five Survive by Holly Jackson</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">I know another book by the same author but I thoroughly enjoyed it. You'd think a book set in one location in an RV would get boring but honestly every chapter was thrilling. I especially loved the time stamps in the book of each hour. The six were stuck in the RV while a sniper was on the loose after one of them. Every chapter got me more and more curious about the secrets that each of the characters had. It was a read that was intense but also exciting. It had me guessing throughout the entire book and the reveal was worth it in the end. Of course, no spoilers but I enjoyed reading this one this year and would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of true crime. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">It has been a while since I read a Sophie Kinsella book but this one was very intriguing. It's about two sisters. One is going through a messy divorce while the other was hoping to get a proposal but it doesn't work out. This leads to her meeting her first love and then she decides to spontaneously get married to him before going on a honeymoon to an island they went to before to consummate the marriage. The other sister finding out and feeling her sister is not thinking straight as well as thinking of her own messy divorce and not wanting her sister to go down the same route decides to make sure that the newly weds don't consummate the marriage. It was a fun read and you can see the argument for both sisters. Sometimes being spontaneous is fun and a first love is exciting. Of course the other sister is only looking out for her sister and doesn't want her making the same mistakes she has. It was a fun read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's definitely a feel good read that I would highly recommend. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>A Series Of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">This one has been a long time coming. I first read the books when I was in secondary school. For some reason my house only owned the third book of the series but I gathered what happened in the first two books from the 2004 movie. I used to borrow books from the library. I remember some I had to skip because the library didn't have it at the time. I think I got to the tenth book before having to return the book without finishing it. I can't remember why I never got around to finishing them. I decided to reread them when I was in sixth form but again I only reached the sixth book but I still owned them on my kindle app, I just never had a kindle to read them. Luckily, my brother brought my mum a kindle and because my mum is not a big reader she decided to give it to me and I didn't really use it as I prefer a physical book. However, recently I decided to charge it up and then saw the six books of A Series Of Unfortunate Events and I decided to purchase the other seven books then get around to finally reading them which I have and I'm thoroughly glad because this honestly felt like a long time coming. The downside was I already watched the Netflix series but I knew I wanted to read the books again and actually finish the entire series. I can now happily say I have finished the books and I really enjoyed them. It's such an interesting concept following the lives of the Baudelaire orphans and their series of unfortunate events. Even though the stories are similar where they go to a new place and Count Olaf is always there in disguise trying to steal their fortune. Yet with every book you learn something new and it makes you wonder what will happen next. This is a series I really wish I read when I was younger as I know its audience is intended for a younger audience but I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and actually getting to finish the series finally after all these years is a relief. As there are thirteen books in the series, it makes sense why I've read so many books so far this year but honestly I don't regret it one bit. I thoroughly enjoyed the series and I have to say my favourite books are the first three books as they are intriguing although I do enjoy The Ersatz Elevator because it had a few twists and turns I really enjoyed. This is definitely a book series not for everyone but I enjoyed it and I'm really glad I finally finished the series in 2024.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">There we have it. Those are the books that I've enjoyed so far in 2024. Let me know if there are any books you've enjoyed in 2024. I would love to hear your recommendations in the comments below as I'm always looking for new books to read. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post for you. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x</span></b></i></div></i><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

You could be racking through your brain for a while for an idea or searching the internet for inspiration. That's why I thought it would be a good idea to share with you five blog post ideas that you can use throughout the year and also they give you enough to adapt them and make them fully your own. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Without further ado let's get started.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>1. Routine Post</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Honestly, it's an oldie but a goodie. Doing a routine post gives the reader a little insight into the person behind the blog by sharing a part of your routine. The beauty is the routine could be anything from morning, evening, makeup, skincare, reading, travel etc. It's one idea that could expand into multiple ideas plus they're normally pretty straightforward to come up with as all you have to do is take pictures of your routine and then write up what you're doing. Routine posts are always popular ones and you can make them personal to you as it's your routine. Next time you're struggling for ideas, why not try a routine post? </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>2. Advice Post</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">If you have experience in something or have learned a thing or two about a particular topic or even an activity. Whether it's travelling or going through a breakup, making an advice post can be really beneficial because you could be helping someone out. Plus using your own experience of something really helps because sometimes you pick up things that maybe other bloggers or websites haven't thought of. The beauty is you can give advice and tips on anything so the possibilities are endless. As long as you get your facts right and make sure you're not copying other people plus using your own personal experience can really add an extra layer of personality to the advice post then it will really go a long way. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>3. Monthly Favourites</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Doing a wrap up post at the end of each month compiling a list of all the things you enjoyed in the month can really boost your page views as monthly favourites have always been a popular trend. Plus people are curious at what other people have enjoyed. Personally, I like to view these favourite posts as it gives me inspiration and recommendations on what I could be enjoying. Honestly, if you're struggling for ideas and it's coming up to the end of the month then why not do a monthly favourites post as it will give your readers an insight into what you enjoy plus give them inspiration on things they could also enjoy in the next month. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>4. What's In My... Post</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">A really great concept is what's in my... Posts because there are so many things you can do for it. From what's in my bags to suitcases to makeup bags to cars etc. There's a lot of things you can do with these posts and they'll never get tired of them because sometimes things change from what bag you use to the makeup you use and what you pack in your suitcase changes from time to time. It's a simple post and it lets your reader get a little insight into who you are. Plus there are many nosey people who want to know what is in people's bags or what they pack. I am guilty of being one of those people so doing a what's in my... post is a safe option if you're struggling for ideas. Plus the more realistic it is then the more people will like it. I find if everything is perfect and there's not a bit of rubbish at the bottom of the bag then it feels unrealistic and fake so be more real with it and the readers will appreciate it more. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>5. Whatever interests you</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Honestly, when it comes to your own blog. There are no rules on what you can and can't post. Posting about what interests you can really show you are passionate about what you are writing about and soon you'll find people that can relate to what you're saying. Plus they may share the same interests as you and so they'll keep coming back to your blog for more as they like what they read. Posting about what interests you is the key to a successful blog because it shows you're passionate about something which will show in your writing. Post whatever you like on your blog and as long as it makes you happy then that's the main thing because if it makes you happy then most likely it will make other people happy. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">There we have it. Those are five of my blog post ideas to help you during those times when you're uninspired and need a little bit of inspiration. Let me know in the comments below if you have any blog post ideas and maybe we can all help each other out with our blogs. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x </span></b></i></div></i><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

It only seemed right to share my blogging routine with you. This is to help any of you budding bloggers get inspired to create a routine with yourself. Now this isn't a set routine that I stick to on a weekly basis but a lot of the steps I do everytime I work on my blog. Maybe not in the same order but they are there. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Anyway, let's get started with my blogging routine.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiYKGOEerbkdRx7KTncZPWcxi4k_fxq5UZhDICnBZAaAXPN-tvpUgB5oW2ZSS0k2JCCdTXFLzrO8elzBDdpJ1nXHe_OM34X_UeyM-4s-mylyDXajgIUOCJwDeVKEXXNPsx7oxNdEsxvJgnt6mwnkS8UsejU1H-cgYk3cw5PoLEP0qg5gEknIqltXNhN2w/s5152/IMG_3510.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgiYKGOEerbkdRx7KTncZPWcxi4k_fxq5UZhDICnBZAaAXPN-tvpUgB5oW2ZSS0k2JCCdTXFLzrO8elzBDdpJ1nXHe_OM34X_UeyM-4s-mylyDXajgIUOCJwDeVKEXXNPsx7oxNdEsxvJgnt6mwnkS8UsejU1H-cgYk3cw5PoLEP0qg5gEknIqltXNhN2w/w640-h480/IMG_3510.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">I have no set schedule or days where I work on my blog but the routine often starts with me going through my Blogging notebook. Some days I will do an idea dump where I list ideas of different posts even if they're a little out there or may take time to do, it gives me some ideas to work with on the days I do work on my blog. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJaZJweUz2N3ZxST3kYWGY4QdAYAzGKajd-KmNy2g059_EwZY27Xm6HyuIM5hLz7PJdiFAqIpws2rMY7nks2cioB5U4WY5TB3H64l9pp6LYAnYWJmcBk_mUqoYosU7siKPrVyCd1hQHcD3h3LCJ8aLKif3GBnfTS6C1F4_xQDB2a1l62DBSjLHzj7aOK0/s5152/IMG_3513.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJaZJweUz2N3ZxST3kYWGY4QdAYAzGKajd-KmNy2g059_EwZY27Xm6HyuIM5hLz7PJdiFAqIpws2rMY7nks2cioB5U4WY5TB3H64l9pp6LYAnYWJmcBk_mUqoYosU7siKPrVyCd1hQHcD3h3LCJ8aLKif3GBnfTS6C1F4_xQDB2a1l62DBSjLHzj7aOK0/w640-h480/IMG_3513.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">The place I go to for ideas is often Pinterest. For the last week of March, I've made the theme travel related so I've searched travel just to see what posts are out there and sometimes I will take inspiration from the title of the pins then make the post in my own way. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCh-0VeY07KNIdGdh1Rhx-uVYxPg0kMnjI1Mb5CwKjUfwD2cBOwoMT0a4C6YvPL6Tqb4ZX6VzDESXcGwH_sRM2s2iYZRy09CmedzJx9lZMSytcjDgUMxL_Ly2kQN4ZX1htR0BonMs2FWFUPdZQSscER3DQcSamVaHHYdP4xn14L30A72IjWG1t8YQr02I/s5152/IMG_3518.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCh-0VeY07KNIdGdh1Rhx-uVYxPg0kMnjI1Mb5CwKjUfwD2cBOwoMT0a4C6YvPL6Tqb4ZX6VzDESXcGwH_sRM2s2iYZRy09CmedzJx9lZMSytcjDgUMxL_Ly2kQN4ZX1htR0BonMs2FWFUPdZQSscER3DQcSamVaHHYdP4xn14L30A72IjWG1t8YQr02I/w640-h480/IMG_3518.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Then when I have an idea, I will just start typing away. I don't think too much about the editing at this point. Although I will split it up into subheadings if I feel it needs to have subheadings, the main thing is to get the words onto the page. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9k62v5F39Q6H3HcGXL74j27ioobsqvhESQza5t5SSvEuQeAOL7hQ3u_XX8So7klyP9-Nhih8J1EelRBom0przXU7ix_7ZidZT4IIclcykaiaR4CW-sUwasJK_EEwVTaXy3PPz_R4UpoQJPMx0hS30cx7NZ1h2af35aIHf9Ch-2wsZi9rCqYtXcHVI6n0/s5152/IMG_3521.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9k62v5F39Q6H3HcGXL74j27ioobsqvhESQza5t5SSvEuQeAOL7hQ3u_XX8So7klyP9-Nhih8J1EelRBom0przXU7ix_7ZidZT4IIclcykaiaR4CW-sUwasJK_EEwVTaXy3PPz_R4UpoQJPMx0hS30cx7NZ1h2af35aIHf9Ch-2wsZi9rCqYtXcHVI6n0/w640-h480/IMG_3521.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwFGVPTSanm550GfnXBwhfSBFM5FqUpbDIJCuLrUdZTlFAqS-eExitZaLb6f3HXycUpZk8CxhtCGBGKydfrRvmad1WuYwt0EW-oloBLpVhn-73GMizT8Yqat1VZgb4pJTIlK_veG3SSj9r5ZmHcr7F0gv4SIt3-4sT_u33LQ-SZCNfc8TeN_E3xVxRjK8/s5152/IMG_3523.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwFGVPTSanm550GfnXBwhfSBFM5FqUpbDIJCuLrUdZTlFAqS-eExitZaLb6f3HXycUpZk8CxhtCGBGKydfrRvmad1WuYwt0EW-oloBLpVhn-73GMizT8Yqat1VZgb4pJTIlK_veG3SSj9r5ZmHcr7F0gv4SIt3-4sT_u33LQ-SZCNfc8TeN_E3xVxRjK8/w640-h480/IMG_3523.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Finally, when I've finished typing away then it's time to edit. I use a straightforward software called Google Documents. I copy and paste the post onto a document then I simply do a spelling and grammar check. It's really effective as it will spot the mistakes I've made that I may not have noticed if I did a simple readthrough. Then I just fix the mistakes and do one last double check to make sure there aren't any mistakes because sometimes you can accidentally make a mistake while editing the post so it's always good to triple check your posts. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9t9AaAEoO9kPTdWylDv9-87UOv-Tji5TXf_HTkW-iwyNI_oNTiu5Qcns_dM1et1hDu1JUC6PxjW2TjaxAelpPHpHHLQSYaiYExFz2mqE4-J4EMVdcYp_e71nESDIA8lsvaIDlmZAe1O-ihW4k3zhSKhsAmOt8keUOxVrt1eTntR2DLpjKbaqq-6ew6lQ/s5152/IMG_3524.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9t9AaAEoO9kPTdWylDv9-87UOv-Tji5TXf_HTkW-iwyNI_oNTiu5Qcns_dM1et1hDu1JUC6PxjW2TjaxAelpPHpHHLQSYaiYExFz2mqE4-J4EMVdcYp_e71nESDIA8lsvaIDlmZAe1O-ihW4k3zhSKhsAmOt8keUOxVrt1eTntR2DLpjKbaqq-6ew6lQ/w640-h480/IMG_3524.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Next, comes the title of the post. I use Canva to create my title pages. I created a title board that I use for all my posts on my blog and all I do is edit the previous post's title to fit the current title I'm using. I make sure it fits inside the rectangle and it's aligned to the centre. Once that's done, I will add it to the top of my posts. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU8ExOEYCn2T-57oF0ZlVxqu5iot9nUDsrQcell7mjNnw1xUOJQTUMH5Q4H9X2rt9HIHOSBVW1dpnCrtUiUwV18pIfARUVUl7YCMG6VRK9qf9bQjzVKit8ZJKs4An4dNBb6K6rjOUN3y5UHY0jNGnrq3svneHsv5h93q7i2saAvQm6Gu91mIk_CxiRvA4/s5152/IMG_3526.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhU8ExOEYCn2T-57oF0ZlVxqu5iot9nUDsrQcell7mjNnw1xUOJQTUMH5Q4H9X2rt9HIHOSBVW1dpnCrtUiUwV18pIfARUVUl7YCMG6VRK9qf9bQjzVKit8ZJKs4An4dNBb6K6rjOUN3y5UHY0jNGnrq3svneHsv5h93q7i2saAvQm6Gu91mIk_CxiRvA4/w640-h480/IMG_3526.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Sometimes, a blog post will need photos. My setup is pretty basic. I do have a little ring light to add a bit of light to the shot. I will then use either my desk, a piece of paper or my bed as the background for the photos and then I normally use my phone to take the photos. Once I have all the photos, I will email them to myself so I can use them on my laptop to add to my blog. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Once the photos are added, I will align my post so that it's in the centre as I really like the layout of the posts in this way. Once that's done I will preview the post and have a readthrough just to make sure it looks good and that nothing is out of place. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Finally, I will schedule the post and hit publish. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Then the routine starts all over again as I normally don't want to work on just one post for the routine and try to at least get another done or as many as I feel like doing that day.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">There we have it. That's my blogging routine. I know it's pretty straightforward but it's a routine that works for me. It's not a set scheduled routine but following these steps really helps me to stay on track when it comes to posting and it's especially handy for this month where I'm posting everyday this month. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for taking time to read my blog and I'll be back again tomorrow with another post for you. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x </span></b></i></div></i><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

Of course, this can come in handy for other bloggers who aren't new to the field but perhaps want some tips on how they can run their blog. That's why I thought I'd put together this blogging tool kit to help you out when it comes to running a blog. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>1. Laptop </b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO3kw9dqH88uKjmO51sbTn_TeJF5pOcDot5dT3ZdytKGGDHo-eceGTkkQQAWMWY7r4gSKjaXFILvwAAlqBNjjJYROuYQVNK1pK_BDuOQ01POpOysgjOdG-gIedZIyhvgECZmCJOtYhLQO7d2HidGm4kdqKTEUIbvKlGQGT1CHGwe9Fd1YU7ugtnIdNPrs/s5152/IMG_3474.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhO3kw9dqH88uKjmO51sbTn_TeJF5pOcDot5dT3ZdytKGGDHo-eceGTkkQQAWMWY7r4gSKjaXFILvwAAlqBNjjJYROuYQVNK1pK_BDuOQ01POpOysgjOdG-gIedZIyhvgECZmCJOtYhLQO7d2HidGm4kdqKTEUIbvKlGQGT1CHGwe9Fd1YU7ugtnIdNPrs/w640-h480/IMG_3474.JPG" width="640" /></a></div></div><div style="text-align: center;">One key tool to running a blog is having a laptop. My one is the HP Chromebook 11A and I love it. It's 11.6 inches in size so it's very compact but it's such a lightweight laptop to use when working on my blog. It makes typing so much easier and as it's a chromebook, it uses a lot of google products so things like Blogger and Google Docs runs smoothly on it. You don't really need a fancy laptop or computer setup to run your blog. You just need any old laptop and your ideas to start writing on your blog.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>2. Blogging Notebook</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFjWiLZRdrPasOGXHMBnAnxIjh8z5wSSKPanypHSlJ7K7J7sDZQgaFtgdQwTugpPRoUDyY9Pmn25lE-XK9RGrXavMBfWItNYU_0ili2LOvnsBvMgaR580CZbnu2Oc8gavjp1F4YCnoACmJzuZ1-AgXafOcuH8HkGn9c9MCDQ03hccRDlImIJP83gE_F_g/s5152/IMG_3476.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFjWiLZRdrPasOGXHMBnAnxIjh8z5wSSKPanypHSlJ7K7J7sDZQgaFtgdQwTugpPRoUDyY9Pmn25lE-XK9RGrXavMBfWItNYU_0ili2LOvnsBvMgaR580CZbnu2Oc8gavjp1F4YCnoACmJzuZ1-AgXafOcuH8HkGn9c9MCDQ03hccRDlImIJP83gE_F_g/w640-h480/IMG_3476.JPG" width="640" /></a></div></div><div style="text-align: center;">This is a personal choice and I talked about this in yesterday's post but having a notebook really helps me out in the long run. This is my pink one from Poundland and I'm using it for my 2024 blogging journey. It's so handy because I can put in my goals for my blog but also I can combine my thoughts and ideas into one notebook. Plus it keeps me organised on what to write next. It's especially helpful for this month where I'm posting everyday to keep me on track. I'm definitely someone who prefers to use a pen and paper for my thoughts as it is something that always works for me. A blogging notebook might not be for everyone but it's always good to have as you can literally take it everywhere with you. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>3. Canva</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFxrV1PYHINAu3_yiWmAUfK_0RinRlpKlrONaQCsL7zWao3Cg37RxckAJowxDVd_8zBBqGbtucTxJfi-qz1uAYZ4ST2MFVXhvdhAu2Orru_TAEGEdiv5XI-ejn2fW8jV8JhblbmJ9AA5T5wkWrqxSTOarJ_OoadW0GlQu1yP3TeYtbxzGoevxoawKuqW4/s5152/IMG_3477.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFxrV1PYHINAu3_yiWmAUfK_0RinRlpKlrONaQCsL7zWao3Cg37RxckAJowxDVd_8zBBqGbtucTxJfi-qz1uAYZ4ST2MFVXhvdhAu2Orru_TAEGEdiv5XI-ejn2fW8jV8JhblbmJ9AA5T5wkWrqxSTOarJ_OoadW0GlQu1yP3TeYtbxzGoevxoawKuqW4/w640-h480/IMG_3477.JPG" width="640" /></a></div></div><div style="text-align: center;">Honestly, I don't know where I would be without Canva. I started using it for my blog in 2023. It was something I used a lot when I was studying my master's degree but it's so useful for my blog. I use it to create my title photos for my blogs and I love it. It's free to use and you can really get creative with it. I'd highly recommend it for title photos and you could also use it for social media content if you wanted to. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>4. Blogging Platform</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPqe98pffNF-3GIK538sYCNMtDZlFdsyfKFihsZsDg9Yw-F8PjotoINTDljWviq7IjU2-J5qJR6tBpi-wO1AenftSLD7F_zFD_TdXMguPLe2AOOBtHLKyGEIHCmKmGKjTFohn1i0WuE5RcwVSDa9jCMB1n_Idid5lLmJlC5zbKz6lSlLKPxn5chOx0PeM/s5152/IMG_3479.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPqe98pffNF-3GIK538sYCNMtDZlFdsyfKFihsZsDg9Yw-F8PjotoINTDljWviq7IjU2-J5qJR6tBpi-wO1AenftSLD7F_zFD_TdXMguPLe2AOOBtHLKyGEIHCmKmGKjTFohn1i0WuE5RcwVSDa9jCMB1n_Idid5lLmJlC5zbKz6lSlLKPxn5chOx0PeM/w640-h480/IMG_3479.JPG" width="640" /></a></div></div><div style="text-align: center;">You can really run a blog without having a website and often you need to use a platform to run your blog in. I currently use Blogger to run my blog but I know there's other platforms such as Wordpress and Squarespace. It's also good to purchase your own URL so that your blog will look even more professional but sometimes having a free URL is okay but when you're hoping to expand your blog further, purchasing a URL will go a long way. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>5. Phone</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCBCrWQfV1H4_tADyR_TPTVg1dqZsZHrymEE3xpMrhsyvXEU-jK-pFToQnFoBEGtQGT03DXc77OoN_JhmZr6qoIZAHujc8qJus0gw-CqWvx4CTLKrVUsH8isl3qYmeUf2gRVciCtLnhsyp7oD8RPjqObQBAAax5TMBSQY7GY9QlKpSkalI93o6wqzBSRM/s5152/IMG_3485.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCBCrWQfV1H4_tADyR_TPTVg1dqZsZHrymEE3xpMrhsyvXEU-jK-pFToQnFoBEGtQGT03DXc77OoN_JhmZr6qoIZAHujc8qJus0gw-CqWvx4CTLKrVUsH8isl3qYmeUf2gRVciCtLnhsyp7oD8RPjqObQBAAax5TMBSQY7GY9QlKpSkalI93o6wqzBSRM/w640-h480/IMG_3485.JPG" width="640" /></a></div></div><div style="text-align: center;">I use my phone a lot when it comes to blogging. Mainly to take pictures but when I'm out and about whether it's waiting for a bus stop or I'm taking a break in work, sometimes an idea will pop into my head and that's where my notes app will come in handy. A lot of my blog posts were written first on my notes app then they'd be copied onto a document for editing then I'd publish the post. It's a really useful thing to have when it comes to blogging as it can be used for many different parts of your blog. It also shows you don't need a high tech camera to take good quality pictures. Sometimes the camera on your phone will be just enough. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>6. Pinterest</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnFVxkMvX3vlYjHh9HQb5VDGTfq-kzLlgJMYA1TXX6n8V8J5e8AjDMvXHrH4LrUnCfNIxWerpnB43AXQp1A-ZdVU9sP5UWDkp6STxHlNi_4YSm1Lw9_wdJw8WciLheQjLVv4dbOOIYg_XtINhOtL2vmKKJFpwTBzB-vKy5-GllkDB5LEUGWSlDGH4L1BU/s5152/IMG_3487.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3864" data-original-width="5152" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnFVxkMvX3vlYjHh9HQb5VDGTfq-kzLlgJMYA1TXX6n8V8J5e8AjDMvXHrH4LrUnCfNIxWerpnB43AXQp1A-ZdVU9sP5UWDkp6STxHlNi_4YSm1Lw9_wdJw8WciLheQjLVv4dbOOIYg_XtINhOtL2vmKKJFpwTBzB-vKy5-GllkDB5LEUGWSlDGH4L1BU/w640-h480/IMG_3487.JPG" width="640" /></a></div></div><div style="text-align: center;">I honestly love using Pinterest to promote my blog. You don't realise the difference it makes. Pinterest is full of blog posts so pinning your blog into a Pinterst board goes a long way. The difference in views from before using Pinterest to after using Pinterest is incredible. It's why it's handy having a title photo on top of every blog post so you can use it to create a pin on Pinterest. That way people will know straight away what the post is about before they've even clicked on the pin. I would highly recommend using Pinterest to help promote your blog. It's definitely worthwhile. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">There we have it. That's my blogging toolkit to help any new bloggers to run their blog. Let me know if you have anything that helps you run your blog that I may have missed. I would love to hear the thoughts of fellow bloggers and maybe we can all help each other out in this blogging game. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post for you. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x</span></b></i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

Coming into 2024 though, I've taken my blog a bit more seriously than previously and I've learned a few things along the way to running my blog smoothly. I thought I'd share the ways in which I manage my blog to help any of you reading this who might be thinking of starting their own blog in 2024 or you're a fellow blogger who's looking for some helpful tips. Eitherway, I hope you can take something from this post. Now, let's get started.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>1. Having a blogging notebook</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">I have to say, I'm pretty old school and one of the things I like to have on hand with me is my notebook that is dedicated to my blog. It's just a pink notebook I picked up from Poundland but I love it as I'm using it for my 2024 blogging journey. Sometimes ideas for posts can just come out of nowhere and I always like to write it down. Plus I prefer writing things physically down first as it helps me to think better. In this notebook, I write lots of things down such as ideas for posts, my blogging goals and just any ideas for future posts. Plus I can take this notebook anywhere with me so if I'm at work or if I'm travelling somewhere and an idea comes to mind, I'll write it down in my notebook. It's just something that has helped me out a lot when running my blog. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>2. Choosing your blogging platform</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">It's always good to have a good platform to run your blog on. I've been using Blogger (which used to be Blogspot when I first began) and I love it. I know there are other websites you can use like Wordpress and Pinterest but Blogger is super simple to use. It gives you the option to customise your blog, plus it's easy to edit and publish your posts. You can't run your blog without a good platform and luckily there are plenty to choose from. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>3. Spell & Grammar check</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Back in the day when I first began my little blog, I would just type away my post then just publish it. I wouldn't even read through it. I would just preview it to see if it looked okay then it was published. I've now looked back on those posts and realised there are quite a few mistakes in them. I know sometimes you can get away with the odd spelling mistake but having loads is never a good sign. That's why with every post I always make sure to put it through a spell and grammar check. This sounds very fancy but it's literally just me copying and pasting the post onto Google Docs to then find where the errors are and correct them. Honestly, it would make such an improvement to your blog to know it has the correct grammar and spelling onto it. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>4. Try to work on as many posts as you can in one session</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">I'm sometimes limited on time as I work Monday to Fridays so it can be tricky to fit in time to work on my blog. I tend to work on sessions where I have a surge of motivation to write posts. One thing I do try to accomplish is working on more than one post. One post is great but if you have the motivation, you may as well work on many posts as you can. In my opinion it's always good to have posts ready to go in advance as you do get those days where you have writer's block and not sure what to write about. It happens but during those times it's good to have backup posts ready to go during those moments. Try and dedicate an hour to your blog each day if you can and soon you'll have lots of posts ready to go. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>5. Don't put pressure on yourself</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Honestly, don't go into blogging thinking you're going to be the next Zoella where you'll get millions of views. If you're going into blogging looking for fame and lots of views then you're blogging for the wrong reasons. Honestly, ten page views is better than nothing. You'll get those days where you're not getting as many page views as you hoped for. Especially when you first start out. The best thing you can do is not put pressure on yourself and just write about things you enjoy. Don't try to copy other popular bloggers because you hope to be the next big thing. Of course, you can take inspiration and learn from other bloggers but just try to do your own thing. One day, you will reach those milestones. My blog hit 100,000 pageviews last year and that was honestly a huge achievement for me. Remember blogging always starts a hobby for most people and everyone who runs a blog does it because they enjoy it. Just have fun with your blog and do what makes you happy. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">There we have it. Those are my tips on how I run my blog. Let me know if this was helpful to any of you budding bloggers out there. I'd love to hear what your biggest blogging tip is in the comments below and maybe we can help eachother out. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back tomorrow with another post for you. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x </span></b></i></div></i><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

Chapter three of 2024 and it's kind of crazy how quickly we've gotten to March. It feels like January lasts forever then we speed through February and now here we are in the month of March. It's a very exciting month as at the end of the month I'm heading to Dublin for a little weekend getaway with my mum. I've never been to Ireland before so I'm very excited to go there. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Another exciting thing that is happening this month is I've decided to post everyday on my blog for the month of March. As many of you have known if you've read my previous posts, in 2024, my goal is to create 150 posts in 2024 and in order to do that I knew I had to post everyday for an entire month and this will be the first of many times I do this in the year. I thought it would be fun and exciting. I have a lot of good themes going on this month from blogging, beauty, lifestyle and travelling which I'm very excited to share with you all. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Let me know if there's anything you want me to post about, I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">That's all I have to say for now but I'll be back tomorrow with another post for you.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x </span></b></i></div></i><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com</div>Megan Taylorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03612115787034071026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9098638439537930703.post-53341199864731699092024-02-29T08:00:00.089+00:002024-02-29T08:00:00.150+00:00 February Favourites<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnvWKm1HYVU1k5qISr9QCVLueQUjG6Znu52Lcljcv_I1DYvvgvpJ31_W9a3I6a-VDuiQT8Y3sQK-CI922xWPAYMPkBrhcUwznKuabPAfzdnsLjmuGbRtANUOYRHv8qx-e4Zq4SE_FjE9vjqIb95BdAfmkva8XqY4VoZPJ9nUcVga-LUhHZP-QL6ldD70g/s1640/Blog%20Post%20Title%20(8).png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="924" data-original-width="1640" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnvWKm1HYVU1k5qISr9QCVLueQUjG6Znu52Lcljcv_I1DYvvgvpJ31_W9a3I6a-VDuiQT8Y3sQK-CI922xWPAYMPkBrhcUwznKuabPAfzdnsLjmuGbRtANUOYRHv8qx-e4Zq4SE_FjE9vjqIb95BdAfmkva8XqY4VoZPJ9nUcVga-LUhHZP-QL6ldD70g/w640-h360/Blog%20Post%20Title%20(8).png" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">As it's the last day of February, I thought I'd share a few of my favourites of this month with you all. This month definitely went by quickly, probably because it's the shortest month of them all but I still managed to find a few things I enjoyed about this month.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Let's get started with my February favourites.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Five Survive by Holly Jackson</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">This is a stand alone book from the author of the Good Girl's Guide to Murder series and this one was definitely an exciting read. It's where six people are on a trip in their RV when suddenly they get stuck in the middle of nowhere. They soon realise that their tyres have been burst by bullet holes and suddenly a bullet comes through the window. It doesn't take long before they find out there's an active shooter out there and what they want. A secret from one of the members of the group. Panic sets in for the group as they turn on one another, trying to find out the secret and whether or not one of them is working with the shooter. The story is set in the location of the RV and it splits up into the hours of the night which is an interesting concept. I was excited to read this as I loved the good girl's guide to murder series but this book was a great stand alone. It had a lot of drama and excitement in it as you're trying to figure out what the secret is and who the shooter is linked to. I found myself speculating along the way about what it could be and who is involved. It was very intriguing and when I got to the chapters around four am is when things really started to pick up. Every chapter left you with a cliffhanger and I read the majority of the book in one evening as I couldn't put it down. I was intrigued by all the twists and turns of the story. I also hated the character of Oliver for a number of reasons and I'm sure many will agree. Either way it was still an exciting read and I highly recommend it as it's an interesting concept that will leave you on the edge of your seat. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean PS3 Game</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Surprise, surprise. Another video game is part of my monthly favourites. Honestly though, I fancied playing a game and I was on my PS3 looking for ideas. One video game I loved was the lego Harry Potters so I decided to see if there were any other lego games then I saw the Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean game. I remember first playing this game on my Nintendo DS Lite years ago now and I thought it would be a fun game to play. It takes you through the four films of the series in lego form and it's honestly a bit of fun. Some of the puzzles you have to think about a little bit but overall it's good to play. I enjoy collecting all the characters and after you complete the game then you can replay the levels to earn the collectibles which is pretty fun. If you know me then you know I like to aim for 100% completion which is exactly what I've done for the month of February. Lego Pirates Of The Caribbean on the PS3 was definitely a firm favourite for February.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Tomb Raider Remastered</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Honestly, as someone who grew up with the Tomb Raider games. They definitely hold a special place in my heart and the release of the remastered versions of the PS1 Tomb Raider games from one to three is honestly the best thing to have happened. It's the same game as the PS1 games but you have the option to have them in high quality or the original graphics. It's so nice and the controls are so easy to work with. I highly enjoyed playing them and one I most wanted to play was Tomb Raider 2 as that's my favourite out of the trilogy. Plus it was nice to have an up to date version of the game as with Tomb Raider 1 already had a remastered game in the form of Tomb Raider anniversary. Honestly, it's so fun to play and brings back the nostalgia for anyone that played these games growing up. It's nice to get the achievements and also just take a trip down memory lane. Plus with a click of a button you can go from the updated graphics to the PS1 graphics and see how far we've come in terms of game graphics. It's honestly incredible. It may have been a risk recreating the exact same three games with updated graphics but I think it's a risk that's paid off. I finished playing Tomb Raider 2 and as I'm writing this I'm currently playing Tomb Raider 1. Afterwards I'm going to play Tomb Raider 3 which is a game I have yet to complete so I'm excited to play the remastered version. Especially as these games give you the option to save anytime, anywhere which is a really big help. Either way I've really enjoyed playing Tomb Raider Remastered so far and I'm excited to keep playing. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Friday Night Dinner</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">This month Netflix finally put Friday Night Dinner back on and I'm so glad because I honestly love this show. It's such a comfort show to watch as it's a relatable family dynamic. From visiting your parents house, siblings playing pranks and teasing one another. A weird neighbour that always comes round. It's honestly the funniest show I've watched and because the episodes are twenty five minutes long with six episodes per season and one Christmas special. You can easily get through all six seasons in one weekend. Honestly, I was a late bloomer watching this show then one day I decided to watch it and I'm so glad I did because it is pure genius. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good laugh because this show is full of laughs. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">There we have it. Those are my favourites for the month of February. Let me know what you've been loving this month, I would love to hear any recommendations you may have for me. It could be a book, a video game or a film. Either way I'd love to hear suggestions for anything I should start doing in the month of March. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">That's all I have to say for now. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x</span></b></i></div></i><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

The day every single person dreads especially as we've had an entire month of shops selling Valentine's Day things such as heart shaped spoons, candles, cups, bowls etc. I mean how many heart shaped things can you get and it's literally only for once a year as I doubt any couple will go into so much effort for their date nights than on Valentine's day. Of course, I'm saying this as a bitter singleton who's only ever experienced one Valentine's Day where I wasn't single and while I cherished the card and chocolates plus the single rose, it was just another day in the calendar. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Even so, it is a depressing day when you're single because it reminds you that nobody loves you in a romantic way. Even the amount of times you've tried to find someone, they've all failed after five months. Seriously, I have yet to find myself dating anyone longer than five months. It's like the sudden five month mark and everything just falls apart. Not by my choice either, but things happen and here I am, alone on Valentine's Day writing this blog post. Although I told a lie, I wrote this post before Valentine's Day as I knew I was going to be single for it. Not that I've been looking for anyone recently. I haven't even touched dating apps in a long time. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">How I'm spending the day is actually working because it's a weekday and then I'll most likely go home, cook my favourite food and watch one of my favourite movies. It's pretty much how I've spent all my Valentine's Day and it's a tradition that I don't want to break.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Anyway, I hope all you single people have a lovely day. We can all get through it together. To all the couples out there... Well done. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">That's all I have to say on Valentine's Day. Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x </span></b></i></div></i><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com

These are just some of my personal favourites that I love to watch if I'm in the mood for romance or just as a reminder of how single I am. Either way they are some good romance films. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Let's get started.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>1. The Holiday</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">I'm aware this is seen as a Christmas film but at the same time it's not full on Christmas like some other Christmas films. This film has everything you want in a good romance film. A good cast and a wonderful story with lots of different themes. It has themes of finding yourself, unrequited love, unexpected love, something casual that turns into something serious. It's just so heartwarming and a really enjoyable film that can be watched all year round. The Holiday is definitely one of my top romance films and I love it. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>2. The Proposal</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">This is another great film to watch. Yes, it's your standard haters to lovers but Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are a perfect combination of funny and emotional. It is full of laughs but also has a heart at the end of it all. It's an unexpected concept where your boss offers you to do a fake proposal and marriage that is bound to be a rollercoaster of emotion but ultimately this is a feel good film that has laughs and romance in it. The perfect romantic comedy to watch to get you in the mood for Valentine's Day. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>3. Love Rosie</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Oh this movie is another great romance movie. It's where you know two people are destined to be together but there's so many different bumps in the road and they find themselves hitting so many obstacles that stop them from being together. It's charming, it's relatable as we've all experienced a similar situation in our lifetime. I know I have it except for me. I didn't end up with a man in the end. Either way it's a fun film to watch as there are many humorous scenes but it also pulls at the heart strings with some emotional scenes. Either way it's a good romance film for when you want to have a laugh and a cry.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>4. Little Women</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Now, I'm not going to mention a version of Little Women as there are many different versions of this story by Louisa May Alcott. It's about the lives of four sisters that are slowly coming to terms with womanhood and the trials that follow. From growing out of doing plays together, having love interests, getting married and having babies. It's a sweet film but isn't just about romance. Yes it's there but it shows us that sometimes it will come when we least expect it and sometimes having your siblings there supporting you will really help you out in the long run. It's a feel good film that of course has those emotional scenes too. My two favourite versions are the 1994 film and the 2019 film. They are two great film versions. An honourable mention is the 2017 BBC mini series which I enjoyed also. It's a film that has lots of memorable moments but at the end of it all gives you this wonderful feeling. It's not a complete romance film but it does have themes of romance scattered through it.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>5. Titanic</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">I'm not going to lie. One movie I used to watch a lot growing up was Titanic and it wasn't to see the sinking of the ship. It was a love story. I was truly captivated by this movie and one of my childhood dreams was to meet the love of my life on holiday and I always hoped that maybe one day it will happen. Maybe it still will. Who knows? Either way I know this is a sad tale but you can't help but fall in love with the characters of Rose and Jack. Two lovers, not supposed to be together due to their place in society but somehow find a way. It's honestly a wonderful love story and I felt I couldn't not mention it.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Anyway, those are my top five romance movies. Let me know what your favourite romance film is in the comments below. I would love to hear it.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back again soon with another post.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x</span></b></i></div></i><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com</div>Megan Taylorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03612115787034071026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9098638439537930703.post-28444036285956491112024-02-05T08:00:00.028+00:002024-02-05T08:00:00.137+00:00Valentine's Day As A Singleton Plans<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo2XNst1S-VolD3z5z5wxox_Cco05ub9wB6-Ml6KxUo-Qvooxejv5dmqO-YrR2QLx9EcMybVZubU2owJi4X2IEfjiGO2P_hw312heUrvJ28mUCe7qKKHslxHBHN7fBVO2j2fOHFMD-FuXO8GBGlBi7QT2Xiy5cCGwa6ybfvSzBL7QGH9ihGidOISVFKPw/s1640/Blog%20Post%20Title%20(6).png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="924" data-original-width="1640" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo2XNst1S-VolD3z5z5wxox_Cco05ub9wB6-Ml6KxUo-Qvooxejv5dmqO-YrR2QLx9EcMybVZubU2owJi4X2IEfjiGO2P_hw312heUrvJ28mUCe7qKKHslxHBHN7fBVO2j2fOHFMD-FuXO8GBGlBi7QT2Xiy5cCGwa6ybfvSzBL7QGH9ihGidOISVFKPw/w640-h360/Blog%20Post%20Title%20(6).png" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">As someone who has spent the majority of my Valentine's Day as a single person. This day can be a cruel reminder of how single you are. That's why the best way to deal with this day is through a distraction. Now if you are like me and work on weekdays then you'll most likely be working on this day. While work is a good distraction, it's a bit depressing. That's why I thought I'd share some ideas on what you can do on Valentine's Day either after work or before work and if you're lucky enough to have a day off on this day then here are a few things that you can do on Valentine's Day as a single person. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Plan a solo day trip</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Honestly something I love to do is go on solo day trips whether it's to a town or city or even just to a shopping centre. I love it especially if I have to travel to get there whether it's taking the train or a bus there. One of my fondest memories was when I was in university and I felt a bit down so I decided to go on a day trip the very next day to the Trafford Centre which I'd never been to before and it was a really enjoyable day. I even went to the cinema on my own for the first time ever and that made me realise that going to the cinema on your own is an enjoyable experience. Honestly, I would highly recommend just making the most of being single and enjoying going on a day trip on your own. It's a great feeling. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Movie Day</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">There's something about just having a lazy day at home and watching movies all day. I once planned all the movies I was going to watch and then ordered a dominos for food. Plus I had a selection of snacks and I just thoroughly enjoyed myself. It's a great distraction from how single you are by putting on movies that you love. Maybe try to enjoy the cheesy romance ones as that might make you sad about how single you are. The best thing to do is to put on movies that make you happy. Movies I like to watch are musicals, comedies or Harry Potter. Those are my go to movies that bring me joy especially when I'm feeling single. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Cook yourself a fancy meal</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Why not learn some new culinary skills and cook yourself a fancy meal. Whether it's something you always enjoy cooking, something new or even trying to recreate something from your favourite takeaway. One of my favourite takeaway foods is beef chow mein and I've done a stir fry version but I would love to recreate a recipe from scratch. I've seen some recipes on tik toks and I'm tempted to give it a try on Valentine's Day as something different and who knows it tastes amazing. Either way I feel like cooking a meal yourself is so much nicer as you're putting your heart and soul into it. Yes it's more work and takes time but you'll thank yourself in the long run if it turns out nice. Either way treat yourself by making a delicious home cooked meal on Valentine's Day. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Read a good book</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">One great way to enjoy Valentine's day is to go offline and just read a physical book. Whether it's a book you've been itching to read for a while or a book you've read before and fancy rereading it again. Either way you'll be having a good time getting lost in the pages of a story. I've been really getting into reading again this year as I read seven books in January which is probably the most books I've read in a month. Either way I love reading and sometimes it's just nice to escape from reality and enjoy a feel good book. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Pamper Session</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">Why not treat yourself to some pampering? Why not go to a spa for a treatment or even get your nails done? If you like me though and prefer the affordable option then why not do it yourself at home. Start with running yourself a bath or having a shower depending on what you fancy doing. Then go all out with a face mask, doing your nails and just doing some skincare. It's good to look after yourself and your skin so giving it a pamper every once in a while is a great treat. Plus you'll feel so much better. One of the best feelings is if you've changed your bed sheets then after your pampering you put on a fresh pair of pyjamas and honestly I don't think there's a feeling that can be that. Of course after you're pampering you can enjoy some of the other things on the list like watching a movie or reading a good book then it would be a nice recipe for a perfect valentine's day as a singleton. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">There we have it. How exciting. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I've had an interesting first month of the year. I booked a once in a lifetime trip to Las Vegas and I'm also planning on booking a holiday to Ireland which is very exciting as I've never been to Ireland before. I think this year is going to be full of adventures so I'm looking forward to what this year will bring. It's getting me motivated to start living a healthier lifestyle though. Eating less and moving more. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I'm also still saving up on top of all the holidays, I hope to buy a car this year. I'm not sure what I'm planning on doing this February. I know there's Valentine's Day which as a single person is a day I detest, although I'm going to make plans and celebrate my single hood. Then of course there's pancake day which is always a treat. There's also lent which is the art of giving up something until Easter. I haven't thought about what I'll give up for lent but I want to commit to it this time as normally I find myself giving up halfway through. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Anyway, that's pretty much it. Here's to another chapter of the year. Thank you to everyone taking the time to read my blog, your support means a lot and I'll be back again soon with another post. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x</span></b></i></div></i><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com</div>Megan Taylorhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03612115787034071026noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9098638439537930703.post-30188094493890839822024-01-31T08:00:00.123+00:002024-01-31T08:00:00.143+00:00January Favourites<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBTI6he0DJs28r8759F-OqXV7_zpsAMv7IpDZnOvOr6l3vfK2U613DMXAtbwkYuxz4PolIDMz7sljAag3PB_ptQoJhWPnkPVFrD0AwC-C_3g0knQsBBJPeAxusPNZlhsCuRRIFxePeatWERT7vThWv65AVQjop1V5ob0bkgKMs_1yMhQ9JpS7CQhkJlhc/s1640/Blog%20Post%20Title%20(1).png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="924" data-original-width="1640" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBTI6he0DJs28r8759F-OqXV7_zpsAMv7IpDZnOvOr6l3vfK2U613DMXAtbwkYuxz4PolIDMz7sljAag3PB_ptQoJhWPnkPVFrD0AwC-C_3g0knQsBBJPeAxusPNZlhsCuRRIFxePeatWERT7vThWv65AVQjop1V5ob0bkgKMs_1yMhQ9JpS7CQhkJlhc/w640-h360/Blog%20Post%20Title%20(1).png" width="640" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">It's the end of January which means, it's time for a favourite post. I plan on trying to do these favourite posts every month for the year and see how we go on. This one definitely has a theme of true crime in it which I'm sorry about but at the same time, I'm sure many people have similar interests. Anyway, these are all the things I've enjoyed in January.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">This is the second book of the series A Good Girl's Guide To Murder. This one really intrigued me because it was Pip trying to investigate what happened to Jamie Reynolds who is missing. The story was full of lots of twists and turns. I found myself listening to the last twenty chapters on my train home from my Dads on New Year's Day. Twenty chapters does seem like a lot but when you listen to audiobooks on 1.8 speed then it flies through the forty four chapter book and on a four and a half hour train journey, it gives me a lot of time to get through the whole book on New Year's Day. It's definitely worth the read and got me excited for the third book As Good As Dead. Definitely a firm January favourite.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>The Act</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">If you don't know, The Act is a TV miniseries from Hulu based on the most famous case of munchausen by proxy. As someone who watches a lot of true crime videos, one case that really got me fascinated was the case of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, also known as the murder of Dee Dee Blanchard. This case is just the definition of nothing is what it seems. I decided to rewatch this series for the first time since I first watched it because of the recent developments that have happened in this case. If you have no idea what I'm talking about then google it. Either way I think this TV show is a well done true crime drama because the casting is on point with Patricia Arquette and Joey King as the lead roles of the mother and daughter. It really showed the rawness of this case and makes you wonder how it went on for so long. I would highly recommend this series if you're interested in knowing more about the case but remember that some scenes will be dramatised but it is based on real life events. This is just a baffling case to me and was one that really got me into true crime because I was intrigued. It's only eight episodes long so it's a quick series to get through and honestly definitely worth a watch. This is one of the best True Crime dramas I've watched. I put this up there with ITV's the Long Shadow which was a recent series about the Yorkshire Ripper. Another true crime series I would recommend. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Mr Bates VS The Post Office</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">I wasn't planning on watching this series originally when it first came out but then after hearing a lot about it, I felt I had to and I'm so glad I did. Let me tell you that this series has done wonders to the original case. It shed some light on one of the UK's biggest miscarriage of justice and showed the massive impact it had on the hundreds of subpostmasters. It's honestly shocking how this came to be and it was a long fight for them that was able to gain some justice for them in some ways but in truth it's still an ongoing battle. This series is definitely worth the watch as it dives into the impact this whole scandal had on its victims and honestly Alan Bates was a hero for putting the pieces together. I honestly hope justice will continue to be served for this case as I know it's an ongoing one that deserves to get answers. This show has definitely opened up peoples eyes to this case and I know it will make a difference in the long run. I'm really glad I watched this series this month and would highly recommend it as it's only four episodes long but makes such an impact on the UK's biggest miscarriage of justice.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Bus Simulator</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">One video game I've been playing a lot this month is Bus Simulator on the PS4. I don't know why I enjoy it so much but I do. I've always enjoyed simulation games and this one seemed like a good one. It's fun to pretend to be a bus driver and slowly unlock the different areas on the map as well as unlock different achievements. I've also been trying to get a perfect route which is quite tricky to do but I know one day I will achieve this trophy. Either way it's a fun game to pass the time and something I've been enjoying a lot this month. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Crash Bandicoot: Warped</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">This game brings back so many memories from my childhood and playing this on my Playstation. I don't remember ever playing the previous two games but this third game was honestly one I'd play all the time. Mainly because it was one of those games I'd play over and over again as it was pretty straightforward but I love it. I started playing it again this month and I've been trying to get as many Playstation trophies as possible. I've been trying to collect all the gems and crystals plus find the secret routes. It's definitely a fun game you don't have to think too much about and I've been enjoying playing it this month.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Dead Girl Walking by Holly Jackson</b></div><div style="text-align: center;"> Oh my goodness! The third and final book of the good girl's guide to murder series was amazing. I was wondering how good it would be when the previous two had been so good but this one just took it one step further and honestly I loved it. There were so many twists and turns, I had no idea where it was heading. It could have gone into a number of directions. I found myself wanting to keep going. The book is split into two parts as soon as you reach part 2, you won't want to put it down because it makes you wonder what's going to happen next. Honestly, this was well worth the read and I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Perhaps even more than the previous two. Honestly, this was such a good series and after this one I went on to read Kill Joy which is a prequel of the series which I was very excited to read. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><b>Kill Joy by Holly Jackson</b></div><div style="text-align: center;">A fun little novella and prequel to a good girl's guide to murder. This one was a fun short story about a murder mystery party that had you guessing alongside Pip on who the murderer was. It was a fun little read and honestly took no time at all to read. It's not necessary to read as it's just a little extra book to the series but it does show you how Pip really got into her detective skills and what made her inspired to research the case that started it all. Holly Jackson once again does it well and it was a nice fun read that is not as serious as the other books of the series as it had some lightheartedness to it but also a sense of whodunnit to it. Definitely a nice short read for anyone who enjoys the good girl's guide to murder series. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">There we have it. Those are my favourites for this month. Let me know what you've been loving this month in the comments below. I would love to hear it. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thank you for reading my blog and I'll be back soon with another post. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">See you then. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><i><div style="text-align: center;"><i><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Megan x</span></b></i></div></i><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">*This is not a sponsored post*</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">For business enquiries or just a chat email: megantimeblog@gmail.com
