Last Post Of 2019

Image
Here we are, the final day of 2019 and my last post of the year. I thought I would make a last post as tomorrow is the start of a new year and a new decade. I wanted to round of this last post by going over the thoughts. 2019 for me is one of those years that just went by so quickly. Not a lot happened for me except I did gain two new adorable nieces and I spent a lot of my time just working. Other than that though I have no real complaints. I did not have a major heartbreak like last year and I spent the entire just being single and focusing on myself. I feel I have grown as a person because of my job and I feel more confident about the future. I am looking forward to 2020 because I have some big plans for myself which I am really excited about. I have a feeling 2020 is going to be the best year ever and I really am going to try really hard to make it great. I feel we all need some positivity and happiness in our lives. The world is a stressful and hard place sometimes but if yo

December Favourites

Image
As it is nearly the end of December, I thought I'd share a few things that I have been loving this month. This is going to be a pretty random list as I have a few random things that I have been loving this month. Hopefully you can relate to some of these or not. So let's begin my list of December favourites: Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 I actually forget how much I love this game until I started playing it. It has a combination of the first half of the Harry Potter which is my absolutely favourite. I just love how you can easily get through the story then you can do a lot of exploring to collect all of the items. It's really fun and keeps entertained for hours. I am trying to complete this so I can go on to the next Lego Harry Potter game Years 5-7 which I don't think I've ever completed. Now is the perfect time to do so. The Apprentice Of course I've spent twelve weeks watching The Apprentice and I absolutely love it. I'm always amazed

Christmas Eve!

Image
It's Christmas Eve! Only one more sleep until Christmas. I sometimes get surprised every year how quickly Christmas does come around. It's also sad that when boxing day comes around, that's it then. It's over for another year. I feel lucky though because my parents are separated I get two Christmas's in a way. Right now I'm currently at my dad's house where I'm spending Christmas. Then after Christmas, I'll go home and be with my mum. I've saved opening my presents there until I come back from my dads. I know it's bad but honestly I love opening presents and seeing what people got me. It just reminds me of being a kid again and see what Santa got me. I also feel blessed that I have my seven year old brother who still believes in all the Christmas magic of Santa so it's nice to see how excited he is for Christmas. I'm also excited to give my family presents too and hope they like what I've got them too. It's nice to see i

400 Blog Posts

Image
As I was blogging everyday in December, I came to notice that I was getting closer and closer to 400 posts. Now that is a lot of posts. I suppose it makes sense as I've been blogging for five years now to have so many posts. Although when you're blogging you don't really think about the numbers all that much. You just write and make a post then publish it for the world to see. You don't really think about how many posts you've published until you look at the number of all your published posts. It does get confusing how many posts I've made because I also have 47 draft posts as well so the number always looks bigger than what it actually is. However, I know that this post is the 400th post and that makes me very happy because I know I've created every single one of those posts. Some of the posts are better than others but that's okay. I know I've not created the most picture perfect posts but I'm happy with how far I've come and how muc

A Love Letter

Image
I've always wanted to receive a love letter. Ever since I watched Love Rosie and Pride & Prejudiced. I just wanted to receive a love letter. I just find handwritten letters beautiful. As I'm single, I doubt I'll receive a love letter anytime soon so I thought why not write myself a love letter. I feel like we all need a bit of self love in our lives so I recommend writing yourself a love letter. Here's mine: Dear Megan, You are doing really great now. You may not realise it but you are. You are a beautiful human and you don't need to change for anyone. You are a strong independent woman. Yes, you have gotten your heartbroken in the worst way possible by a guy you thought was the one and who understood you. However, he hurt you and it's his loss.  You have a heart of gold. You care so much that when things go wrong, you do break down but you get back up. You realise that you are worth it. You may not have a man in your life right now but you ha

Thinking About The New Year

Image
It's crazy to think that there's only ten days left of 2019. Although I can't help but be a little bit excited for the new year. I'm going to be making some big changes and hopefully moving out of my mums house. I hope to be in a new job that will help me out so much. I know it's going to be scary and I have no idea what I'm doing but at the same time I have some faith in myself that when I do accomplish my goals, I'm going to be so proud. I'm not going to lie to you all but in 2020, I kind of want to be a little bit selfish and focus on me. Now I'm not trying to be mean or big headed. I just think we all should be a little selfish sometimes in looking after yourself. My mental health has been going up and down over the years and some people have brought me down in the past where they think I won't be able to achieve my goals. However, I want to prove people wrong and that I am an ambitious person and know in my heart this move is somethin

Keeping Busy

Image
As I am currently off work for Christmas and the New Year, I do have a lot of free time. Now it all sounds like fun and games for the first few days but then you suddenly realise this is you life right now and you may get bored. Luckily for me I have a few things that keep me busy and help me not get bored. So I thought I'd share some of the things I have done to keep busy during my time off and this can be useful to any of you going through the same thing or just to find ways on how not to get bored. Here we go: 1. Blogging Honestly, I am so happy to be back in the blogging game again. Blogmas has really helped me to find my motivation to blog and it honestly has been great creating posts then scheduling them. It just lets me be creative and I've tried some new things too. I've edited photos with Photoshop to make them look more aesthetically pleasing. I've also written a load of posts in one day, edited them and scheduled them. This has helped me out so m

Self-Care Tips

Image
Life can be hard and sometimes we forget to take care of ourselves. I've come up with a few tips and tricks to give yourself a little self-care 1. Journaling I've mentioned this a few times recently but honestly journaling and writing down your thoughts onto paper can be such a great way to take care of yourself. It's like your letting go of any negative thoughts and worries onto the paper. It's kind of a relief once you've let go of all the negative thoughts and you can kind of see the bigger picture. You can focus more on the positive thoughts and things that make you happy. Give it a try. Go out and buy another notebook (I'm guilty of buying too many notebooks and not using them) then start journaling all your thoughts down. It really will help you out a lot and feel like your letting go of all your negative thoughts. 2. Go For A Walk Just getting in that little bit of exercise by just going for a walk. I'm not saying go for a long walk bu

What's In My Bag?

Image
I thought a fun idea for one of my Blogmas posts is to do a classic what's in my bag post. So let's get started This is my bag. I got it a few months ago from Matalan. I really love the strap that you can put over your shoulder. It's also really big and it fits a lot inside. So let's take a look inside my bag The first thing I pulled out is my phone which is an iPhone 6S. I have no complaints about my phone. Although from looking at this photo, I need to change my phone cover because it is a little bit worn. This is my purse. I've had this purse for a few years now and it's from Peacocks. I love there's plenty of room for my cards and I can just throw my change and notes in there. This is my travel pass. I keep my railcard and any tickets I have in here. It just makes it easier when I'm travelling by train so I just keep it in my bag. I also have my glasses as I am short sighted so I need my glasses because sometimes I can

My Christmas

Image
I thought I'd do a little photo spread of my Christmas decorations. Everyone is different with their decorations. Honestly there is no right or wrong way to decorate your house for Christmas. I always help my mum decorate our tree and she lets me take control of the Christmas lights which makes me happy because I try and make it work so that most of the tree is covered. I decided to go with our colourful lights and add some red lights in there too which I think works out really well. We then put the baubles on together and I love it because we have a lot of mismatched baubles from my childhood so it's great because we can just put the baubles on anywhere we like. I kind of like that our tree has no real theme and it's just perfect when it's all mismatched. It makes me very happy and nostalgic. We also have an angel that we have owned since I was a baby and she can no longer sit on the top of the tree straight. We just had her sitting next to the star which many ma
