Turning A Bad Day Around

Everybody gets a bad day and they absolutely suck. Sometimes they can happen unexpectedly and sometimes you just know when a day is going to be bad. Now I could go over all the potential scenarios for a bad day and give you advice for it but I think you could pretty much do that for yourself. I'm just going to tell you five ways on how to turn a typical bad day around.

1. Talk to someone
Sometimes just having a friend or a family member or just someone you're close with to talk to is always a good way to turn a bad day around. I know sometimes you don't want to bother people with your problems but if you actually talk to someone who you care about and you know cares about you takes a big weight off your shoulders. You know what they say a problem shared is a problem halved. It is true because sometimes another person can see things from a different perspective which you may not realise. Also if you let someone like a friend or a family member know about your bad day then they may find a way to cheer you up or distract you by getting you to do something you enjoy together. That'll definetly turn your bad day around. So maybe just talk to somebody if you can to help you on your bad day.

2. Go for a walk
Whether it's to go to the shops or just a walk in the countryside or around your neighbourhood. Just walking it out can sometimes make you feel better and give you time to think. I like to listen to my music while I walk. Sometimes just listening to your favourite songs can cheer you up. Plus you're getting a bit of exercise as well as some fresh air. If you're having a bad day just go outside and take a walk. You'll probably feel so much more better than being cooped up inside or in your bedroom in self pity. Just go out and walk.

3. Distract Yourself By Doing Something You Know You Enjoy
Distractions from whatever is making you have a bad day is always a good option. Doing something you actually enjoy doing can make you feel a whole lot better. Whether that's watching your favourite movie or tv show or YouTubers. Maybe it's reading your favourite book or colouring in. Perhaps it's a hobby you enjoy doing or even just going shopping or cooking or eating somewhere. Whatever it is just go do it and make the day a better day by doing something you enjoy.

4. Take some time for just yourself
Give yourself a bit of me time. Turn off your social media. Even just turn off your phone. Pamper yourself with a shower or bath or a face mask. However it is you like to take care of yourself. Just ignore the outside world for a bit and have a little bit of you time. Spend some time by yourself away from people. Sometimes that's all someone needs to clear their mind of all negative thoughts and just take a moment to breathe out. Just relax and have a rethink. Maybe make plans for just yourself whether it's plans to do for the rest of the day or the next day. Just plan something to do because sometimes planning something is always fun and will make you feel excited to be doing it. Whether that's to go out to the cinema or a shopping centre or a park or somewhere new where you haven't been before. Just plan something exciting for yourself and decide whether to do it with your friends or by yourself. Either way it'll be fun and exciting for you and will definetly turn your bad day around.

5. Music
Like I mentioned before I love to listen to music while I go for a walk. In general I just love listening to music while I'm travelling or if I'm at home. Having the right playlist to listen to can definetly change your mood to a good one. Sometimes if you're in a good mood then that will turn your bad day around. Music is a perfect stress reliever. Just putting on your headphones and listening to your favourite songs is just absolutely perfect. Even having your own little dance party in your bedroom is fun and if you feel like singing (even if you're a really bad singer) then just do it. Let it all out. Who cares? If it makes you happy then just sing as loud as you want. Your bad day will soon be gone.

Anyway, that's all I have to say about turning a bad day around. Let me know in the comments if you have any ways to turn a bad day around. I'd love to hear them.

I'll be back again soon with another post.

See you then!
