Superdrug Unboxing

The other day I made an order online on Superdrug and the things I've bought I've never purchased before but I was really looking forward to trying them out. Now when my ordered arrived I thought I'd make an unboxing post and tell you my first impressions of all the things I bought.

Now I was really excited when my doorbell rang and it was the postman holding my box. I just couldn't wait to open it.

The first thing that I picked out was a free sample of Sanex body lotion which was nice to have so I could try it out.

The next thing I pulled out of the box was all the things I ordered wrapped up in bubble-wrap.

I unwrapped the bubble-wrap to reveal all three products I ordered which I am so happy about.

The first thing I bought was a new concealer which is the Miss Sporty Perfect Stay Liquid Concealer in the shade 001 Light. I like using the Miss Sporty Perfect Stay Foundation so I thought I'd try out the concealer to see if it's just as good as the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer.

Next is the things which I am really excited about because I've always wanted these palettes. The first palette is the Makeup Revolution London Flawless Ultra Eye shadows. I am really excited  to try out this palette. It has 32 eye shadow colors which I really like. They are a mixture of matte and shimmery colors like nudes, copper, golden and smokey which are really pretty. They would perfect to use for everyday and night makeup. I also love the way the packaging looks. It looks really high quality and professional. The mirror in the palette is also really useful for travelling because you can just take this palette and have access to a variety of colors as well as a good size mirror to apply your eyeshadow. I cannot wait to try this palette out.

The final palette I bought is one that I'm even more excited about. Mostly because of the packaging but it just looks amazing. It is the I Heart Chocolate palette. Now obviously the packaging looks amazing because it's designed like a bar of chocolate so it's really nice to look at. Also when you open it and smell it, it does actually smell like chocolate which is even more amazing. There are sixteen colors in the palette which are also shimmery and matte. I really like that it's mostly a nude colors so it's handy for everyday but the shimmery colors could be great for a special occasion or a night out. It also comes with a mirror and a double ended eyeshadow sponge brush so it is perfect for travelling with. Even if you don't like the double ended sponge brush it comes with then there's space to put your eyeshadow brush in which is super handy. I can't wait to try out this palette for everyday use as well as night life use. It's so pretty.

That is all I ordered from Superdrug. I am really happy with all three products and I cannot wait to try them all out. I hope you enjoyed my Superdrug unboxing post and I'll be back again soon with another post soon.

See you then

Why Do I Still Blog?

I made a post back in November asking why do I blog and I pretty much answered the question. I'll leave link to the post below so you can check it out.

However, I've started thinking about the question of why do I still blog. I mean I'm not one of those famous bloggers, I don't earn money from this blog and I don't get much attention from it. I mean those could be reasons why I could stop blogging but honestly those reasons don't really matter to me.

I just blog because I want to blog. I want to talk about things and I prefer this to actually making a bad quality video on YouTube. Mostly because this is more easier than filming, editing and uploading a video. This is just words typed out onto a laptop. It's very simple. Also I like the fact that I can wear what I like while I type this and not be judged for it. I'm currently in my pajamas with my hair tied up in a messy ponytail, wearing zero makeup and it feels great because I don't have to worry what I look like while I'm writing my posts.

Blogging is so much easier and I have full control of the posts on this blog because I'm the one who writes them. This blog is literally all me. This is my little space of the internet where I can write about whatever I want and it gets read by ten or more people. Just knowing someone has took the time to look at my blog, even if it was just for a second means a lot to me. It gives me another reason to make a post because someone out there might be enjoying what I'm writing about.

I just write about anything really and it's mostly the things I love. Whether that is a book review or a beauty haul or a day in the life post or some advice about university. I love writing about it because I love the things I'm writing about. I'm not trying to be like every blog out there. I just post about something I feel like posting about. I do get inspired sometimes by YouTube video or blog post idea but I just get the idea then I add my own version of it to the mix because I can and want to.

Anyway, I suppose what I'm trying to say is the reason I still blog is because I enjoy it. I like to write about something which I like or am passionate about. I like that I have my own part of the internet which belongs to me (kind of, if it wasn't for Blogger then I wouldn't really have this), but I still write and create all the posts which are published on this blog which makes me so happy. Knowing I've written 244 posts (including this one) for nearly three years now just makes me so proud that I've been able to accomplish that. I've made a blog once before then I just shut it down because I just gave up trying to make posts on it but not for this blog. I didn't give up on it. I know I have gone weeks without making posts but I always came back to it because the moment I started typing a post I remembered how much I love blogging.

So that's all I have to say about it. Thank you if you actually read everything I said but I just got carried away because sometimes when you start typing out a blog post, you just don't want to stop.

Anyway, I'll be back again soon with another post.

See you then.

The Future

The future is kind of a scary place because you never know what is going to happen.

Recently as I am in second year of uni and I've pretty much finished it, I get asked a lot about what you're going to do after university because I'll be starting third year in September.

Honestly, I wish I knew what I was going to do but honestly I don't really know. A part of me wants to get a great job and start working straight away plus get a great flat to live in but I doubt that will happen straight away.

I feel like there's a small chance that might happen but the likelihood is you may need to put it on hold for a year. I do have a small plan which is once I've finished university to take a sort of gap year just to sort myself out to figure out what I am going to do for the rest of my life.

If you are like me and are a student who doesn't know what to do after university. You are not alone. I do recommend though taking a year out as like a gap year. I went straight to university once I finished school so I've never really had a break from education. A gap year is sort of what I need even though it'll consist of me working, living with my mum and planning what I'm going to do the next year.

Just give yourself that gap year where you can boost your hobbies, skills which will surely impress your future employer. Even if you don't know what to do, maybe consider doing a masters for a year if you're really struggling. There's loads of options for you to take, you just need to find them. Now is the time to figure yourself out because you are young and you're allowed to make mistakes. Remember the first job you go into after university is probably not the one you'll do for the rest of your life so don't worry about it. Just stick it out for a year to see if you like it or not, if not do something else.

Another tip I can give you is to create a work portfolio of yourself which shows off all your skills and has evidence of the projects you've worked on. If you create this then you'll be prepared for when the employer wants to see a portfolio of yourself and you have done one. Also create a CV which you can easily hand to your future employers.

Just remember to not give up at the first hurdle. You have your whole life ahead of you so make it the best you can be.

Anyway, I hope this was helpful to any of you confused about the future.

I'll be back again soon with another post.

See you then.

Second Year

I have basically finished with my second year at university. I've completed all my assignments, done my exam and I have no more lectures. It's crazy how quickly that has gone by.

The reason why I've finished my second year of uni so early is because after Easter we have to do five weeks of work placement or in my case experiential learning which basically work placement but set in my university. It's just five weeks of doing work from nine to five everyday (except for weekends I think). It's like gaining experience for life after university which is relevant to the degree you're studying.

Even though that is happening after Easter, I have no assignments or deadlines or exams to do. I do have to wait for the results of my assignments to see if I've passed or fail but I am pretty much finished.

It's crazy how quickly university goes. One minute you're a carefree first year having the time of your life in uni. Next is when you're in second year when the realization that your next year is third year then you'll soon be graduating and leaving uni. It just flies by. I still can't believe I've basically finished my second year of uni.

Just make every moment of university count because it does not last. Just make loads of memories and do the best you can in all your assignments because soon you'll have to be a mature adult who earns money, pays bills and work in a job for the rest of your life. Enjoy being young and carefree in your twenties because nothing lasts forever.

I'm currently at home for the whole of April for my Easter break so I should have more time to blog and make more posts so you should be seeing more of me this April.

I'll be back again soon with another post

See you then!
