Lately I've been procrastinating a lot and it really sucks. I've been procrastinating my life and things I want to do.
It's like when I'm just sitting and watching a random YouTube video. I just think in the back of my mind 'I have this free time now, maybe I could do something productive like my assignments or maybe I should finally read the book I've been forgetting about for a while or maybe I should go shopping. Then I think of the words 'I'll do it later or I'll do it in an hour' and when the time comes, I'm still watching videos and I do eventually realise that I am wasting time and by the time I've realised this it's almost time to go to bed.
This is a problem which I do have and I wish it would go away because I want to be so productive this year and make it the best year I possibly can for myself. Which is why I need to push myself a bit more and instead of saying 'I'll do it later' I will just go and do what I need to do right then and there.
I've even been procrastinating this blog a little. I was good at the start of the month but towards the end I've sort of not wrote anything. I do find it hard sometimes to write a post because sometimes I know what I want a post to be about but I don't have the right words to produce them then I just forget about the post and it's left in my drafts for a while.
I really do love blogging and as you know my goal is to create 200 blog posts in 2017 and I have done well by creating 6 posts so far in January (including this one) but don't worry I do have more plans for posts in February.
I thought I'd share with you some tips on how to create procrastination.
1. Bargain with yourself
Sometimes it can help to bargain with yourself and give yourself a reason to do something productive. Say to yourself if I do two hours of work now, I can spend the rest of day watching Netflix or something that you like to do. Just give yourself little rewards for doing the things you need to do.
2. Make To Do Lists
I love making to do lists and crossing off all the things on the list. It also gives me an idea of what to get done during the day. I also put the most difficult task to begin with so it's over and done with and everything else will seem easier. Also you don't have to put like ten billion things on the list (if you do then that's impossible) Just put as little as three things you need to do. Don't put so much pressure on yourself to get a lot of things done because then you'll get stressed and probably not want to do any of the things.
3. Change Your Environment
Honestly, if you need to do some work or an assignment and you're sitting at home then you'll probably procrastinate more and get distracted easily. I suggest, taking everything you need and going to the library because in the library you are less likely to get distracted and you will be surrounded by other people who are also working so hopefully that will motivate you to do work. I plan on making a library study session essentials post soon which should be able to help you if you are planning on going to have study session in the library to study for exams or work on assignments.
4. Do It For An Hour
Instead of just saying 'I'll do it later' why not just do the task for an hour and see how you feel. Sometimes when I start working on an assignment and an hour is up, I still want to continue working for another hour. At least if you've done it for an hour then you've been a little bit productive for the day. Plus if it's working on assignment for an hour then you're basically one step closer to completing.
5. Ask for help
Sometimes you procrastinate because you have no idea what to do or how to do it. This is normally the case for assignments because you don't how to do it and you procrastinate it because you are worried about asking the lecturer for help. However, if you do not know what your assignment is about then you are allowed to go and ask them. They will not judge you. In fact I'm sure they'll be grateful you've asked them because to them that means you really care about your work. Plus they will help you to understand and give you advice on how to do it and they will also give you recommended books to look at which you should be able to borrow from your library.
Anyway, those are all my tips to hopefully help you beat procrastination. I'll be back with another post soon. Stay tuned for a Library Study Session Essentials post for those of you who need to work on assignments or study for exams. I also have a previous post on being productive which you can read by clicking this link: http://megantime.blogspot.co.uk/2016/12/being-productive-for-new-year.html
See you soon.

Today I bought a few new products from Superdrug and Amazon so I thought I'd share with you guys what I bought.
In Superdrug I bought mostly beauty items. The first thing I picked up was the Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in the shade 107. I really wanted a dark red lipstick and I bought a Kate Moss lipstick the other day and I've heard a lot of people like the shade 107 so I decided to get it because it's really affordable.
The next thing I bought was the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in the shade Very Black because I like using black mascara and I also wanted to try a new mascara. I saw this online and I was surprised it was really affordable because normally I think Maybelline products are expensive so when this was £4.99 I just had to get it.
I also bought an eyeliner from Maybelline because I needed a new eyeliner because my other one was getting old and I just thought I'd treat myself to a new eyeliner. I got the Maybelline Crayon Khol 100 which is in the shade Ultra Black because again I like using black eyeliner for when I go on nights out so I thought this was perfect for me and it was a good price too.
Next I bought B. Makeup Brush Cleanser because my makeup brushes need a clean so I thought I'd buy some stuff to clean them with and I heard this product is really good.
The final thing I bought in Superdrug is a bit random but it is My Little Star Cotton Wool Pads. I was watching an old Zoella Boots haul and one of the things she got was large baby cotton wool pads which she buys instead of the smaller cotton wool pads. I thought that was really handy because I use micellar water to take my make up off and so I thought this extra large cotton pads would be perfect for that. It was also the same price for the smaller cotton pads so it was a good deal.
Now the last thing I bought is from Amazon but I'm so excited about this because it is the Lee Stafford Chopstick Styler which I was inspired to get because of Zoella as she uses the Lee Stafford Chopstick Styler and her curls look so amazing so I thought I'd treat myself when my student loan came in and got myself one.
So that is everything I bought. I hope you enjoyed this haul. I used to never like hauls but recently I like them because I like to see what other people have bought and see whether I'll fancy buying it too.
Anyway, I'll be back again soon with another post.
See you then.

It is that time of the year again where the second term of university begins. This is my final term of lectures for second year as after Easter I am off to do experiential learning where I go and learn skills required for the media industry working environment.
I feel a bit excited and nervous at the same time because this term it is all about handing in the assignments and getting all the work done before Easter. It's only two and half months then that will be my second year of lectures over with.
That is quite crazy. Nobody was joking when they said university will fly by because it feels like it has. I swear it was only yesterday that I was a nervous fresher going to my first week of lectures. Now I'm half way through my second year. In Autumn 2017 I'll be in my final year of university. I can't believe it.
This term I'll definitely be working harder than ever. I want to be able to get a good marks so that I don't have to worry about resits or anything like that so I'll be out of the house most days and in the library to do work because that's the way to be productive sometimes.
I know this was a short little post about going back to university for second term but there's not really a lot to say about it. This term I'll be sharing some of my tips and tricks for university so stay tuned for those posts in the near future and I'll be back again with another post soon.
See you then.

Today I went shopping in town today and I went to Boots, Superdrug and Savers which if you are not familiar with these places then they are just drugstore places which sell make up, healthcare and beauty things. I bought quite a few things which I thought I would share with you today.
I actually made a list last night of all the things I wanted to get because I had a few vouchers and Christmas money to spend so I thought why not buy some new make up products as well as other beauty things.
The first place I went to was Boots and I went to the No 7 Counter because a few weeks ago I had Boots No 7 Makeover as Boots offers a free makeover with No 7 products which me and my friends tried before we went on a night out and it was actually really good. They tested my skin tone to match their foundation and the colour I turned out to be was Cool Vanilla so that was nice to know.
When I was in Boots I decided to pick up a foundation from the No 7 range and I picked the Beautifully Matte Foundation which is in the shade Cool Vanilla. I've heard some good things about this foundation so I thought I'd try it out plus it matches my skin tone so that's a plus.
The next thing I bought was a concealer which was in the same shade as the foundation because Boots was doing a 3 for 2 deal on No 7 products so I decided to buy three No 7 Products. The concealer I bought was the No 7 Match Made Concealer.
The final No 7 I bought was a lipstick. The lipstick I chose was the No 7 Match Made Moisture Drench Lipstick in the shade Tawny Rose which is like a dark nude plum shade as I prefer a natural shade lipstick rather than a bold shade.
After going to Boots I decided to go to Superdrug as I wanted some more beauty products and they were more affordable in Superdrug than in Boots.
The first thing I bought was the Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Setting Spray because I wanted a fixing spray so that after I put on Make Up I can put this on and my make up will stay on for the whole day/night. Plus I've heard positive reviews about this so that's why it made me buy it.
The next thing I bought was from Make Up Revolution and it is the Focus & Fix Eyebrow Shaping Kit because I wanted to try doing my eyebrows so I thought I'd get an eyebrow shaping kit. I got this in the shade Light Medium because I have light shaded eyebrows.
The third thing I bought was Zoella Le Fizz as when I'm at home I like to have a bath because I don't have a bath at university and I feel this bath fizzer adds a bit extra to the bath. Plus I do enjoy using Zoella's bath fizzers.
The final thing I bought in Superdrug was a blending sponge because I've heard a lot of people use these blending sponges and they work really well when applying foundation so I thought I'd get one for myself.
The final place I went to was Savers and the first thing I got was the Simple Foaming Cleanser because I wanted to get a cleanser for my face as I wanted to try a new cleanser and this was very affordable.
I also got some Strepsils Honey & Lemon Lozenges because I've been getting a sore throat recently and I've found these very helpful.
The final thing I got was some Allergy and Hayfever relief because I've been getting allergy's recently so I bought two packs of these so they will last me a while.
Anyway, that's all I bought today. I hope you enjoyed this beauty haul and I'll be back again soon with another post.
See you then.

As it is a new year, I thought I'd update the blog schedule to suit my schedule. I will try my best to stick to this schedule but I can't promise anything. I will be posting at least twice a week, maybe even more if I feel like posting everyday for a week or even a month.
I'm not setting any day to post on because sometimes my week can be busy and it's hard to keep track. Besides I could make a post on a particular day which is not on the correct day to post so it's just easier not to set a particular day to post on.
How you can keep up to date with this blog is on the right of this page.
Follow me on Bloglovin and I will follow you back: https://www.bloglovin.com/blogs/megan-time-14514819
Follow me on Twitter as I always tweet whenever I make a new post: https://twitter.com/MeganIvyT
You can also enter your email address on the right of this page to receive updates for when I make a post.
That's all I have to say about my update blog schedule and I'll be back again soon with another post.

Here we are again the 1st January. This is the beginning of the year where you decide to make changes to your life and make new years resolutions. However, when it comes to new year resolutions you end up forgetting within a week.
I thought I'd share with you some tips to keeping your new years resolutions.
Turn them into goals
Instead of thinking them as New Years Resolutions think of them as goals. What do you want to achieve this year. What is your main goal for this year. Whether that's to get fitter, be healthier or be more happier. Whatever it is you can do it. Write it down then write down why you want to achieve this goal then it will motivate you to do it. Stick the goal on your bedroom wall so everyday you will see it then it might make you want to do it.
Make them realistic
It's all well to say I wish for world peace this year. Even though that is a good thought for the new year, however you yourself might not be able to achieve it. I recommend making a goal that you yourself will be able to achieve if you put your mind to it. Also make them about you. What do you want to achieve this year.
Make a 2017 bucket list
I recommend making a bucket list of all the things you want to do for this year. Whether that's to visit a new place or try a new hobby. Make a bucket list which will make you happy and try to complete all things on that bucket list.
Now I know there's only three things here but with the right realistic goals which you set yourself for the new year and the motivation you give yourself then you can achieve your new years resolutions.
I'll be back again with another post this week.
See you then.
