30 Things To Do Before I'm 30

Image
I thought I would do one of those posts where I talk about things I want to do in the future and why not do a 30 things I want do before I'm 30 so I have about nine years to achieve these thirty goals for myself. It's also something I could look back on when I am thirty years old to see if I actually have achieved any of these things. Hopefully I will but we'll have to wait and see in nine years time. 1. Get my degree Now this is probably an obvious one as I'm in my third year of university but honestly after two years of doing university it would be nice if next year I could have a degree. I also thought I'd start this list with something I could definitely achieve (fingers crossed) before I'm thirty years old. 2. Visit Harry Potter Studio Tour/Harry Potter World/Both As I am a massive Harry Potter fan I would actually like to visit the studio tours in London or visit Harry Potter world in Walt Disney World because they look absolutely amazing and wo

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Image
Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful day however you choose to celebrate. Whether you're spending it with family or friends or even if you're alone today or have to work. However it is you are spending this day. Make it a happy day. Be grateful for whatever you get and just be happy. Christmas comes once every year so make the most of the day.  I'm spending it with my mum which is exciting. We'll be opening our presents as we always do in the living room then we'll be visiting family before inviting my nan and grandad over for a tasty Christmas dinner. It's a very happy day where Christmas music will be played throughout the entire house and a Christmas movie will be on at some point during the day which will be fun. Anyway, I'm off to open some presents now so I hope you all have a lovely day and I'll be back again on Friday with another blog post. See you then Megan x

Home For Christmas

Image
Can you believe that on Monday it's Christmas? I can't. December just goes by so quickly. The excitement for Christmas grows everyday then suddenly it's here then quick as a flash it's gone. We have to take the decorations down then suddenly it's the new year. It's sad but it's life. Things come and go so we just have to move on. For once I am on top of everything with my Christmas shopping. Being a poor student Christmas shopping can be hard when you don't have a lot of money. I know I could get a job but I have loads of assignments to do so the stress was getting to me a little and affecting my mental health. I feel like adding a part time job to the mix and I'd feel like I would have a mental breakdown. I don't know how some students do it sometimes. Anyway, with the help of Amazon and also some bargains in some shops. I'm pretty impressed with what I've got everyone and I hope they like it. One thing though that my mum told

Productive Day Secrets

Image
Do you ever just have those days where you're struggling to find any motivation to do work and you have all these responsibitilies you need to get done but all you wanna do is relax, take a nap and watch some Netflix. Well, this can be a problem but I am here to help you so that you can say you have had a productive day and feel like you've actually achieved something. Although I understand that sometimes it's a lack of motivation that's putting you off but hopefully these tips can get you out of that funk. 1. Wake Up Early Sometimes I find a productive day starts when I've woken up early. I'm talking waking up at a reasonable time like 8am or anything before 9am. Just the fact that you've woken up and ready to start the day means you're already on your way to having a productive day. Waking up early also means you have more hours in the day so if you get all the things you need to do done in the day then you have the rest of the day to chill ou

December Is Here

Image
I can't believe it's already Decmeber and there's 24 days until Christmas. I love December mostly for the fact that everyday I get to open my advent calender. I'll never be too old for an advent calender. I don't know why people think it's a kids thing to have an advent calendar. Hello. You get to eat chocolate everyday. I treated myself to two advent calendars because I got the Makeup Revolution beauty advent calender which I am excited about but I couldn't imagine not having an advent calendar with chocolate in it so I got my favourite Cadburies Dairy Milk calendar because I love Dairy Milk chocolate. In my opinion it's the best. Unfortunately though as much I want to celebrate Christmas and forget about life's responsibilities. I'm a uni student which means there's no resting for the wicked. I have assignments and a dissertation to do so it's stressful month as well. That is also the reason why I've been a bit absent on this b

Meh..

Image
This is just a blog post just to say meh. I'm going to be honest with you all. I didn't write a blog post ready for today and I was planning to make a blog post talking about my weekend and my trip to Cardiff on Friday and Saturday but honestly I just didn't feel like writing about it or I didn't know how to put into words about my trip. I've just kind of had one of those days where I have no motivation to do anything productive today and as the title of this post suggests I've been feeling meh. For those of you who don't know. Meh is just expressing a lack of interest and enthusiasm in something which is how I'm feeling right now. Don't get me wrong I love to blog and I'll be back to making more interesting posts tomorrow but today is just one of those posts that is pretty boring to read. However, I said at the beginning of this month that I'll be blogging everyday in November as I have done (or attempted to do) these past years

Blog Motivation

Image
I am a blogger and sometimes there are moments when I lost my motivation to blog or I struggle to fing a post to write. This is actually one of those moments when I was struggling to come up with a blog post to write for this blog posting month then I thought I know I'll make a post about blogging motivation. I thought this post will be useful to bloggers as well as myself to find the motivation to write a blog post. Here's my advice for you guys which I have found useful in the past when I have lost motivation to write a blog post. 1. Watch a movie I don't just mean any movie. Watch a movie about a magazine or running a website. Two movies which I always turn to when I've lost my motivation to blog is The Devil Wears Prada and The Intern. Now I don't know what it is about these movies but these just get me the motivation to write a blog post. I just get inspired by the hard working women in these movies that are writing a magazine or running a website that i

My Top Ten Favorite Movies

Image
I thought you guys deserve to know a little bit more about me as you take the time to actually read my blog. So here is a list of my top ten favorite movies in no particular order because I kind of suck at putting things in order of my favorite but these are the top ten movies which I would happily watch. 1. Me Before You I know I'm starting with a tear-jerker but I honestly love this movie. I read the book before I watched this movie and I cried when I read this book. I thought Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin were perfect for the roles of Louisa and Will. Honestly I couldn't imagine anyone else playing the roles of them. Honestly this movie was so inspiring and just shows that your life can change in a second that you should make the most of the life that you are living. It's just so beautiful that I cannot even find the words to describe how much I love this movie. I'd highly recommend you go check it out if you have not seen it yet and definitely read the book b

50 Facts About Me

Image
As I have been getting a lot more views on my posts recently and I have a feeling some of them are new readers who barely know me I thought I'd do a getting to know me post and do 50 facts about me. I did once do a 15 facts about me post back in 2015 but I'm not going to include those however if you want to know more you can read those extra facts  here . Anyway we have a lot to get through so lets do this. 1. I don't have any tattoos. I have thought about it but the thought of something being so permanent on my body terrifies me. I feel like if I ever got a tattoo that I'll regret it. We'll see though. 2. I've never been in a long term relationship with a guy. Just never found the right one and guys have never really been interested in me. I'm used to it and I'm happy being single so don't throw me a pity party. 3. I can get socially awkward sometimes. I'm just kind of a socially awkward person. I struggle to make conversation so someti

National Blog Posting Month

Image
As I have done this for the past two years I thought I may as well do it again this year. As November is the national blog posting month I will be posting for the entire month of November which means you'll be getting thirty blog posts from me for the entire month of November. The fun thing about this is it will be a variety of blog posts from me. I will definetly be sharing my current favourites of the month as well as updating you guys about my third and final year of university and offering my own advice for you. Expect to see some day in my life posts about what I get up to during the day or what I've recently experienced. There's loads of potential posts which I have planned out ready for you all to see. I hope this month will encourage you to maybe start a blog of your own. Blogging is so easy and so fun. Plus there's loads of free websites which will help you to start up your blog. In my opinion I'd recommend using Blogger. It's free and you can pe

Happy Halloween!

Image
Happy Halloween Everyone! So yesterday was the day where I finally carved my pumpkin and I thought it was a very fitting post for today as it is Halloween. Here are the pictures of my progress with the pumpkin. I also want to add that I did it all by myself as I was home alone. I bought my pumpkin from a shop called the Spar and yes I did take a moment to give my pumpkin a mini photo shoot so you can get an idea of what my pumpkin looks like. Now the next step was of course cutting open the top to make the lid and then scooping out the insides. Let's just say it took about an hour and a half. Don't ask why but it did. You eventually figure out as time goes on, how to get the insides out. It was a very messy job as you'll see in the pictures below. Halfway there. Almost there. FINISHED! So much pumpkin brains. It was a messy job but I had fun doing it. Now for the actual carving. I was deciding whether to do

A Gloomy Day

Image
As I write this, I'm looking out my window and it is a rather gloomy day. It's nealy six o'clock in the evening and it's gloomy. I mean look at these pictures above that I took from the windows. The words to describe these images would be gloomy, dull, dark. Honestly though, I don't mind at all about the weather outside because it means I have an excuse to be warm and relax inside with no cares or worries in the world. At this moment in time I'm watching an episode of The Apprentice and drinking a cup of coffee. Once the episode is done I plan to play a video game on my PS2 (yes I still have a PS2 at home because I just get nostalgia when I play games plus it's still just as fun as a PS3 which is back at my uni house). At the moment I'm debating to play a Harry Potter game on the PS2 because I'm in kind of a Harry Potter mood at the moment because on my train journey on Friday I was listening to Harry Potter and the Chamber

Third Year So Far..

Image
As you all know (I may or may not have mentioned it several times on this blog) I'm in my third and final year of university. I still can't quite believe to be honest how fast it's going. I mean it's nearly November. Then I'll have 8 months left. That's crazy. I have my reading week next week so I'm actually going home for a week which is very exciting. A little break from lectures. Although I will be doing work over the week so it's not a complete break from uni. If you are not aware I am studying Advertising and Media Studies Ba (Hons) Degree and this year I have three Advertising modules, one Media Studies module and one Media Studies Dissertations. All together I have eight assignments, one exam and one dissertation to do. It doesn't seem like a lot of work but there's a lot of work involved in each of the assignments and of course there's the 10,000 word dissertation on top of all my assignments. Fun times. I'm a tiny bi

Bookshelf Thoughts

Image
The other day I was looking up at my bookshelf because from where I sit in the bed, my eyes just wonder up to the right corner and there they are. My books. I have noticed I do this a lot when I'm sitting or laying in my bed. My eyes will just wonder up to the right corner of my room and I just look at my books. I get a sense of happiness when I look at my books because reading makes me happy and I'm slowly building my collection of books and it feels great. I actually scrolled through my Instagram the other day and noticed that I had a few photos of my bookshelf and I noticed that each time the shelf was different. It had grown because I had gotten more books over time and that just makes me happy. It's actually the only part of my uni room that I keep updating and improving over time. Of course I've changed other parts of my room but this is the one that's probably changed the most. It's crazy how these inanimate objects. These books can make me so happ

Beauty Advent Calendar

Image
You know what I've always wanted to do for Christmas ever since I started watching beauty videos on YouTube. A beauty advent calendar. I've always grown up with a chocolate advent calendar every year and I never saw any different until I watched beuaty videos now I did look into it before but they were always so expensive. I didn't really think about this year until I saw that Make Up Revolution were doing one. Now I love Make Up Revolution products. I love their products that they make so the thought of having one of their beauty advent calendars made me excited. Now originally it was about £50 on Superdrug but then they brought the price down to £30 which is quite reasonable considering you get 25 of their products. That's what drew me more to it because some calendars were only doing twelve days of Christmas and they were way too expensive. I was sure I would be getting my moneys worth if I paid for one which was about £50. That's why I was tempted to buy th
