My Festival Weekend

As you guys know last weekend I went to a festival near my town. It's a festival that happens every August bank holiday weekend and I've been going there for a few years now. I just thought instead of talking about my weekend which was honestly a good weekend. I enjoy going camping there and listening to the music.

This year I decided instead of going home every morning as me and my mum normally go home each morning after sleeping in a tent to have a shower as it is very close to our home the festival. We decided to stay the Saturday morning and use baby wipes instead. Honestly it was very relaxing to just chill and not worry about driving or going back home. Most people in our group went home but we were the only two that didn't and it was just nice. We had both showered the morning before we went so our hair was fine. We just used baby wipes and deodorant to freshen up ourselves. Honestly it is not that bad. Baby wipes will definitely be your best friends at the festival.

We also had plenty of rolls to eat as well as crisps, grapes and sausage rolls. I know they're not the healthiest to eat but honestly who really cares about their diet at a festival. Each evening we decided to spend a fiver on the food stall on just cheesy chips and on the last night we decided to go for the burgers. It's just basically your dinner and you don't need anything else after you eat it. But yeah I had a really good time and I thought I'd share with you some of the pictures I managed to take as I did take a few.

I hope you enjoyed my pictures from the festival and I'll be back again soon with another blog post.

See you then guys.

My Festival Tips and Tricks

As you know from my previous post I am going to be going to a three day camping music festival this weekend at my hometown. Now I've been doing a lot of research and getting tips. Even though I go to this festival every year, it's always nice to make the experience even more better than last years.

The number one thing I recommend bring to your campsite at the festival is lots and lots of water. Hydration is important especially if your going to be drinking quite a bit over the weekend. It's vital to have some big bottles of water. They are not that expensive or if you can get your hands on some empty big bottles then do it. Stay hydrated. Another thing to do is to freeze the bottles before you go so that they stay nice and cold over the weekend. Trust me and also you can use it in your cool box to keep your food cold.

Make sure you have a tent and if your going with friends or family then make like a circle with your tents so you can all be together and make plans together. Your tent is also your base where you can come to get food or just to chill out.

Invest also in an air mattress because honestly you won't be able to sleep on the hard floor. Trust me when you come back to your tent at the end of the night and lay down on your air mattress you will probably have a better nights sleep than if you were sleeping on the hard floor. Trust me it'll be worth it.

Have a buddy system. Honestly just stick to having a buddy system if your in a big group for when you're going to the toilet or if you're going to get a drink or going back to your tent. At least if you have someone with you and you both end up losing your group then you'll still be able to enjoy the festival with your buddy.

Have alcohol in your tent if your at the legal age. At festivals buying alcohol can be expensive. You're allowed to have alcohol in your actual tent so if you want a break from the crowds and music then go back to your tent have a bit of alcohol. Honestly you'll feel better and you won't have to pay for the alcohol.

Have plenty of food. Trust me you'll need plenty of food. Bring rolls, some cooked meat, some crisps and some fruit like grapes, bananas, apples etc.. Trust me you will get hungry and you don't want to be spending your money on the really expensive fast food. Even bringing tinned food like fruit salads and even if you fancy eating cold spaghetti hoops from a tin then do it. It's not that bad.

Get a portable phone charger. Now over the three day weekend you won't have access to a plug. Well some festivals may have charging stations but you have to pay for them and do you really want to pay a fiver charging your phone when you could be enjoying the festival. If you have a portable phone charger then you can charge your phone when you need to. Just make sure you charge the portable charger before you go and have your phone wire with you. Also if your phone is in airplane mode then it will charge quicker. Also putting your phone in airplane mode will save the battery. You can still make snapchats as they will still be on your snapchat they just won't upload until you have internet again. Switch your phone off when you're not using it as again that'll save the battery.

Take a camera. Sometimes you don't need a phone to take pictures. Take a camera and use that instead of wasting your phones battery. They'll be better quality pictures and this way your saving the battery on your phone.

Be prepared for the weather. You never know if it's going to be raining or sunny or cold or warm. Just be prepared by taking a waterproof coat and with your outfits. Have some alternatives with you in case the weather is not how you hoped it would be. Take a wooly hat, gloves and a hoody as in the evening it can get colder.

Anyway, that's all my tips and tricks for a camping music festival. Of course you could probably use some of these tips if you were going to a festival during the day.

Now, I'll be back again on either the Monday or Tuesday with a post about my festival experience if I manage to get any photos. If not I have an idea for a post which I want to share with you guys so I may do it then.

See you soon guys.

What's in my bag? Festival edition

Next weekend I'm going to a festival in my town. It's a three day camping music festival so I thought I'd share with you guys what I bring in my bag that I have on me during the festival.

My biggest tip when going to a festival is of course having a bag that zips up as you don't want anything falling out of it. Also have either a cross body bag, a bum bag (a fanny pack as some people call it) or a small backpack. This so you don't have to be holding your actual bag and your hands are free for when your dancing away to the music. I'm kind of on the fence about backpacks as you never know someone may be behind you and open your bag up as a joke or take stuff from your bag. That's why cross body bags or bum bags (fanny packs) will do the trick as they are closer to your waist and you can keep them in front of you within your sight.

This is the bag I'm taking. It's a cross body bag. I think it's from Peacocks. I bought it ages ago so I'm not sure if they still have it. It has a lot of room for stuff in it but it's also not to big as you don't want a huge bag. It's big enough to fit a water bottle inside and it has a pocket in front and a zipped pocket and a little pocket inside.

In the front pocket which just has a button to close it and most of the time it's open. I just keep my least valuable things in here. The first thing I keep here is my sunglasses as it might be sunny and you want to keep the sun out of your eyes. You can also use them as a hairband to keep your hair out of your face.

I also have spare hair bobbles in here just so I can tie my hair up if it gets windy or starts annoying me as it can happen sometimes.

Now for inside the bag. In the zipped pocket I just keep my female products just so I know exactly where they are and they're also not on show when someone looks at my bags. It's also best to be prepared in case your time of the month decides to show up at the festival.

In the little open pocket I just keep my phone as my phone fits perfectly and I can easily get my phone out of my bag if I need to and also it's not right at the bottom of my bag.

Next I just have a little purse which I got from New Look ages ago where I keep my ID and my money. I do not take my cards or anything like that as I do not want to lose them plus when you're camping in a field it's unlikely you are going to be going to a cash point. Just take enough money to last you the weekend for drinks and food. You won't need to spend a lot if you have alcohol and food in your tent though. I also have my ID as I'm nineteen and the legal age to buy alcohol is 18 so I will probably get ID if I'm buying alcohol at the festival. It's also a form of identification if you need some at the festival.

Next I have my little make up bag which I got from Superdrug by Zoella. I move this around in whatever bag I'm using whether it's for a night out or just my everyday bag. This is also just as useful for a festival.

Inside it I keep my compact mirror and brush as it is essential to have to check your face with and also to brush your hair out if you need to.

Some wipes as they are going to be your best friends at a festival. These Carex ones are for your hands, face and body so they can come in useful to you. Whether your hands get messy from food. If you need a freshen up under your pits. Even after using the dreaded portable loos these will be handy to clean your hands with. Trust me you need wipes when you're going to a festival.

A travelo with my favourite perfume inside as it's nice to smell good after a long day of dancing plus these will not break and spill out onto your stuff.

More hair ties in here as you can never have enough of them.

Some Vaseline as my lips can get quite dry during the day.

A lipstick to reapply to my face if I want to look good plus you never know you might end up kissing someone.

The final thing I have is hand sanitizer because to stay clean as much as possible because you may be dealing with a lot of germs going to the portable loos and also it's just nice to keep your hands smelling nice.

The last thing inside my bag is my camera so that I can take some pictures of the festival without having to use my phone all the time and just make some memories. Fun fact this is the camera I use to take pictures for all my blog posts. It's the Polaroid iS426 and I got it from Argos. If I take any photos I'll be sure to put them all in a blog post either on Monday or Tuesday depending on how I'm feeling on Monday after the festival.

That's all I keep in my day bag for a festival. Sometimes you don't need a lot during a festival but it's nice to have some essentials.

Anyway, I'll be back tomorrow with a post about festival tips.

See you then guys.

Love Rosie Book Review

This post will contain no spoilers.

Yes, I am doing another book review for you guys. I know I did one yesterday but I read this one after Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and read it within a day. Plus I really wanted to share with you guys my thoughts and feelings of this book. Here we go.

The other day I read a book which I wanted to read because I watched the film for the first time recently and I found out there was a book. The book is called Love Rosie by Cecelia Ahern (also known as Where Rainbow Ends). As I had watched the film I had expectations of what was going to happen, however the book is slightly different to the film. Where different things happens to the film so some things I was not expecting. Anyway, this is written through different letters and emails from different characters as well as the two main characters Rosie and Alex. They have been best friends all their lives but they both have more than just friends feelings for one another but life gets in the way which stops them from being together. However they always keep in touch with one another through letters and emails.

It's really interesting reading the letters and emails which for some people may not work as there's no descriptions of what's going on. It's just written through letters of what happen with peoples thoughts and feelings of what has happened through letter form. The only time stops the letters is in the epilogue where it finally describes the moment as it happens instead of a letter or email form.

Anyway, if you enjoyed the movie then you'll enjoy reading this book even more. It's a love story which is more relatable as it shows how life can get in the way of two people who love each other from being together.

I definitely would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good love story.

That's all I have to say about this book. I'll be back again soon with another post.

See you then guys.

Last night, I went to see Footloose the musical in my local arts centre. Normally every summer my local arts centre puts on a summer musical. Now me and mum enjoy going to see these as it's something fun and different to do.

Now I'd never seen the movie Footloose. I'm familiar with the song but not with the movie or the musical. Now I googled a brief summary of what it's about and it's about this boy who moves to this small town which has banned dancing and rock and roll which are two things he loves. You can google it if your curious but most of you reading this have probably seen the film.

Anyway, that's all I knew about it. I didn't know if there was going to be romance or drama or if it was going to be funny. I didn't know what was going to happen. All I knew was that there was going to be singing and dancing.

Now let me just tell you that I absolutely fell in love with this musical. The moment it began I was instantly hooked. The music is just incredible. The dancing was amazing and the singing was just beautiful. I loved every minute of it. When the interval came I asked my um why I had never seen the film before. Honestly it was amazing. The actors portrayed each character so well and it was just perfect. I highly recommend this musical because honestly you will fall in love just like I did and now I just want to buy the soundtrack and listen to the songs all day long.

As soon as I got home I went and bought the 1984 film and also I bought the Broadway soundtrack of the musical because I just loved the songs.

I honestly had such a good time watching it.

Anyway, that's all I have to say about it. If Footloose the musical comes to your town definitely go and see it as it is worth it.

I'll be back again soon with another post.

See you then guys.

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child Review

I promise you that this post will contain no spoilers of the book. It's just my thoughts and feelings of this book.

Well, I managed to finish this book within two days. I wish I could have dragged it out longer but nope. I could not put it down.

It just felt amazing to read about the magical world again. It's honest nice to have a bit of reassurance as to what happens to Harry, Ron and Hermione after the last book where they're all grown up. It's also a really interesting story to learn about their kids or more specifically Albus Severus which is who is the mostly main focus of this whole book as well as his relationship with Harry. It also shows his friendship with none other than Draco Malfoy's son Scorpius. You get to see characters both old and new and there's just loads of twists and turns.

It's written as a play script because it is a play after all but it still tells the story perfectly well and you really imagine it inside your head. It's just the perfect closure to the wizarding world. However, there's still room to add even more to the wizarding world. There's so many directions this world which JK Rowling has created can take. You won't be disappointed when you read this and I can guarantee that the questions that you've been asking since closing the seventh book of the series will be answered for you in this very book.

Definitely go purchase this book or even if you're lucky enough to. Go see the play. Trust me. You will not regret it.

Anyway, I'll be back soon with another post. See you then guys,

Time for a change

Remember back in January one of your new years resolution was to lose weight, get fit and eat healthier. Well, here you are. It's August and none of those things have happened. You tried but then gave up many times. That's the problem then there comes a time like now where after eating a take away with your friends that you feel super guilty because you take one look at yourself and see the stretch marks, the big thighs and the belly. That's when you know it's time for a change. You look at old photos of yourself and back then that's when you thought you were fat. When you were a size 12. Now since you've been at uni you've put on a stone and some of your clothes don't fit anymore or are just tight on you. That's when you know it's time for a change.

I have 6 weeks until I go back to uni and I realise in those six weeks I can really make a difference to my body. That's why I'm going to do a workout every day even if it's a small one and take up running once a week. Shocking I know but I found this podcast which is like go from couch potato to a 40k runner. I thought I might do it because the first couple of weeks it's walking for three minutes then running for three minutes. It builds up every week and soon you'll be able to run. Plus running burns twice as many calories as walking (I think it does anyway). It doesn't have to be running. It's jogging basically. That's better than nothing. Now I'm going to recommend a channel which I have seen some pretty good results on social media. It's Lucy Wyndham-Read. She has so many different workouts from intense ones to beginners and she covers everything. Also look at Lumowell's channel as it has a lots of different workouts on there too. I'm not sponsored by these and they don't even know I'm mentioning them. These are just ones I've found really useful. Create a playlist for yourself on YouTube then do the workout at home. You don't need to go to the gym or buy an exercise DVD when it's all completely free on YouTube. There's loads of exercises out there.

I also recommend keeping a food diary and making a note of everything you eat and drink. That way you can see your diet right before your eyes. The more you put down the guiltier you feel and probably won't eat it again. Also drink lots of water. Water helps because it has zero calories in it plus it can fill you up.

Finally, this may be hard but get in to the habit of weighing yourself in the morning (do it in the morning because in the evening you'll be more heavier. For some reason after a night's sleep you'll weigh less than you were the night before.) Just make a note every day so you can see yourself progressing plus it's a good feeling when you see you've lost a pound or 2 pounds the next day. Every little helps.

Also make a note of how long you're working out for. Time yourself so you can see if you're doing enough working out. I heard a twenty minute workout is good.

I hope this has inspired some of you to follow your new years resolutions and start getting fitter. Good luck and I'll keep you posted about my progress.

I'll be back soon with another post. See you then guys.

A Mini Haul

Yesterday, I decided to walk to my Asda Superstore and I bought a few things which I thought I'd share with you guys. I went into Superdrug and Asda.

The first place I went to was Superdrug and bought a couple of things.

The first thing I bought was the Miss Sporty Insta Glow Blusher in the shade 003 Flushed Pink. I bought this because I don't have many blushers and this one was cheap. I also heard some good reviews about this blusher so I thought I'd go and buy it.

The next thing I bought was the Pixie Lott Paint spray on hair colour in Gold Glitter. I bought this because I'm going to a festival at the end of August and I thought this would be fun to use. You put it on then easily comes off in the shower. It was cheap as well so I just thought why not.

The final thing I bought in Superdrug is Zoella's Candy Cream Softening Body Lotion. I just realised I don't have a body lotion and I've kind of been in need of one. I knew Zoella had a body lotion so I thought I'd buy it and try it. It was also cheap as well. It also smells really nice too.

The final place I went to was Asda.

The first thing I bought was a magnetic drywipe board set as it was only one pound. I just thought it would be useful for to do lists and for university.

The next thing I bought was some sticky notes as these are useful for university and it also has the little tabs which are perfect for marking pages in textbooks. Plus it has little hole punches on the side so I can store it in my binder if I wanted to.

The final thing I bought which I really wanted and just thought I'd buy it as I love this book series is Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I cannot wait to read this book and get back into the magical world. When I saw it I just couldn't resist buying it. After I'm done with this post I'm going to start reading it.

Anyway, that's all I bought in my mini haul. I hope you enjoyed reading this and I'll be back again soon with another post.

See you soon guys.

July Favourites

I can't believe it is the end of July already. I feel like it's gone by so quickly. Anyway, it's tradition if you managed to discover new things each month to make a favourites post so that's what I'm doing today. My favourites consist of books, beauty, films and random. Anyway let's get on with this post.

Starting with books. I've been reading a lot this month and the first book I'm going to talk about is On The Other Side. I recently made a post all about this book let me just tell you that I loved every minute of it and it is one I definitely would read again. It's so good. Carrie Hope Fletcher is an expert in my opinion when it comes to books and the fact she's written a fiction book makes me so happy. I loved her All I Know book which was kind of like a self help book but this one is just amazing and I really do recommend it to any of you.

Now I don't have any other books to talk about as the only other book I've read this month is After You which I kind of talked about in my June Favourites and also wrote a whole post on it which I'll link below. But I definitely recommend Me Before You and After You as they are great books. I've also continued reading the Shopaholic series which I've spoken about in my last favourites which I highly recommend if you're looking for a book series to read.

Next thing I'm to talk about is films and there are two films which have put a smile on my face this month. The first is Love Rosie. I've never seen this film before and to this day I don't know why but I saw it on Netflix and decided to watch this. Let me just tell you that this film is amazing. It's literally turned into one of my favourite movies of all time. It's a romantic comedy and it's full of laughs. It just covers so much in one film but it all fits perfectly well together. I'm not going to spoil it for you but I definitely recommend it.

The next film I'm going to talk about is my all time favourite Disney film which for some reason I have not owned a copy of the DVD. I owned a copy of the VHS but never went out and bought the DVD. I don't know why until I was on Amazon the other day and the thought just crossed my mind. So I went onto Amazon and bought it straight away. I was so happy it came and I watched it. It is Beauty and the Beast. I honestly love this film. It was my favourite film growing up and I was absolutely in love with Belle. She is my all time favourite Disney princess. This film just makes me so happy and the songs are amazing. I could watch it all day. I really do love it and I'm so happy after all these years I finally have a DVD copy of it so I can watch it over and over again.

On to TV and I haven't really watched much on TV but at my new house our TV we were just watching episodes of Friends as both me and my friend have the box set so we were just watching episodes of Friends. It doesn't matter how many times I watch Friends it will always put a smile to my face and make me laugh. all the time. I thought I'd mention it in my July Favourites as that's one of the only TV shows I've been watching recently.

With beauty I haven't really bought anything new in that department except Zoella's shimmer balm. I decided to take the plunge and buy it because I liked the idea of it. I'm so glad I bought it because it smells amazing and I feel like it does make my arms and legs look much nicer when I'm going out for a meal or on a night out. I also smell great when I put it on which is always a plus for me.

Finally I'm going to talk about a shop which I've seen and never really did my grocery shop in when I was in university. That is Aldi. Let me just say shopping in Aldi has changed my life. I was able to get a £30 grocery shop which may seem like a lot but I bought a lot of things which lasted me for nearly two weeks. Normally I go to Asda as it's right next to Aldi and the things I buy in there just add up to quite a bit whereas in Aldi I got a lot of food and all for a decent price. Definitely shop in Aldi because it is still good quality stuff and it'll change your life.

Anyway, that's all my favourites for July. I hope you enjoyed reading this post and I'll be back again soon with another post.

See you then guys.

My Top Ten Favourite Books

As most of you who read my blog know I write a lot of posts about books. The reviews and hauls and just my excitement over a book. It suddenly then came to me that I've never written a post about my favourite books. I thought I'd make it easier and write about my current top ten favourite books. I love reading and every book I've read has not been a disappointment yet. This is just my favourites at the moment. I still have plenty more books to read and on my reading list. This is just how I'm feeling at the moment for the top ten books I cannot live without. I'm also including series in this list as you can't have a book from one series and not include the rest of the series. Anyway I've rambled on too much here so let's just get on with the list.

10. McFly: Our Story
Okay, I had to put this in my top ten as I've loved McFly ever since I was younger. Reading this book just made me open my eyes a bit more and realise that you have no idea what your favourite has been through or is going through. It just changed my perception and made me like them even more. I also felt like I got to know them more and discovered things which I could relate to. It's a real eye opener and if you love McFly then you are going to love this book.

9. All I Know by Carrie Hope Fletcher

Now let me just tell you this book is at number nine because again it opened my eyes. It's not a story or an autobiography although it does encounter parts of Carrie's life. It's more like a self help book. It would have been useful to have when I was a teenager in school as it's mostly about growing up. However, there are things in it which can be related to adult life as well. If you're looking for a self help book or just need some reassurance in your life then have a read of this book. It will honestly help.

8. The Amazing Book Is Not On Fire By Dan Howell and Phil Lester

Okay this is the last non fiction book in the series but honestly this has to be one of my top ten. I love Dan and Phil. They were one of the first YouTubers I watched and I love all there videos. I knew I had to get this book when it came out and I'm so happy I did. This book is quite different to normal autobiographies but it is such a good read. I even bought their audiobook and listening to their voices while reading the book at the same time is amazing. I just love to read it and listen to it when I'm feeling down and need cheering up. This book definitely helps.

7. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

I had to include this in my top ten as this book was the first book to actually make me cry. When I finished it, I literally just burst into tears. I was just so emotional until this book. I've never felt so much emotion from any book (until recently) ever. This book just made me both laugh and cry. I'll definitely be reading it again. It's truly wonderful.

6. Harry Potter series by JK Rowling

Now this series definitely has to be part of my top ten as it's one of the very few series which I have reread the books countless times. I just get into a mood where I just decide I'm going to read Harry Potter then I start reading them and I can't stop until I've finished them. It's truly a wonderful series and honestly I prefer reading the books than watching the films because the books just have so much detail and so many wonderful parts which the films cut out. I really do love going back to reread the series.

5. Girl Online Series by Zoe Sugg

These two books just put a smile to my face when I read them. I know it's the cliche cheesy romance story but it's still different. I loved reading the books as they kind of inspired me to blog more. I find it to be a wonderful read. I love this series and written posts about both of them. They both took me a day to read as I just couldn't put them down. I love these two books and I'm looking forward to the third book coming out in November.

4. Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella

This series has reached my top four as I cannot put these books down and I've been loving the series so far. Each book is just so unique and just keeps me questioning what's going to happen next. Half the time I am never right. As soon as I start reading a book I just couldn't put it down and when I finished a book I just had to get on to the next one. This series is just like a romantic comedy but book style. It's just such a funny and feel good book. You just can't help think. "Oh Becky" or "How is Becky going to get out of this one now?" Trust me if you've read this series then you'll understand what I mean. I've just finished Shopaholic and Baby so now I'm just waiting for Mini Shopaholic now. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Now we come to the hardest decision I've ever had to make. My top three favourite books. All these decisions were hard but this had to be the hardest as I had my top three books but I didn't know which one was my favourite out of all them because I loved every single one of them. These books I'm about to share with you are literally the books I cannot live without. Okay here we go.

3. Me Before You & After You by JoJo Moyes

You know I mentioned before about The Fault In Our Stars being the first book to make me cry. Well, Me Before You hit me harder emotionally. It is such an emotional rollercoaster where you think you know how it ends then just shocks you unexpectedly. If you haven't read this book then you need to read it. I'm so glad I read it before I went to see the film because it prepared me but still watching the film was just how I imagined the book. I included After You because it is a wonderful sequel to Me Before You and honestly I didn't know how it was going to turn out after the events of the first book but I was just so moved. Even after the first chapter I was just shocked and thought what's going to happen next. That's why these two books are my top three.

2. On The Other Side by Carrie Hope Fletcher

As you know I recently read this book and I'm completely and totally in love with it. It is a completely different love story than your normal sort. It's full of love, heartbreak and just surprise. It's full of surprises and all these surprises turn out to be good. This is Carrie's first fiction novel and it is just perfect. The caption on the front cover which says 'A love story like no other' which is so true. I've never read a love story like this and it just had me wondering how is this going to end. Honestly it will have you guessing throughout this book. Definitely go and read this as you will fall in love with it.

1. Can You Keep A Secret? by Sophie Kinsella

Now, this was a really hard decision as all these books I've mentioned are my favourites and could all be my number one favourite. When choosing my favourites I remember this book and how much it made me smile. I took my time reading this book and I'm so glad I did as I enjoyed it more. It is such a good story and it is just perfect. It makes you think that everybody has secrets and if you share those secrets with a complete stranger then that may come back to surprise you unexpectedly. This book just put a smile to my face and made laugh. I just didn't know how it was going to end as like with most books I read it was full of surprises. I have to say I could read this book over and over again. It is just the perfect romantic comedy novel to read and that is why it is my number one favourite book.

Well, that was a tough decision but I'm so glad I made it and wrote out all my thoughts and feelings about my favourite books.

I do apologise for the lack of posts these past couple of days. I've just been busy and had no time to write these posts. I'll continue to post every day or every other day as that may be more easier for me as writing a post everyday can be a struggle I've learned.

Anyway, I'll be back again soon with another post. See you then guys.
