My Book Collection

Image
Most people have collections of make up, shoes or clothes. I do not. The biggest collection and the one I love the most is my book collection. I thought I'd make a post sharing you my collection of books now as I was taking my books down I realised there was a lot so I'm not going to dwell on every description of the book otherwise this post will last forever. I'm just going to show you the book and whether or not I've read it as I do have a few books I haven't read. I'm also going to do it shelf by shelf but also I'm going to have around my bedroom section as not all my books could fit on the shelves as I also had to use half the bookshelf to store my DVDs. Anyway, I best get on with showing you my book collection. Here we go. Shelf 1 The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald - Not Read Little Women by Louisa M. Alcott - Read The Hunger Games Series by Suzanne Collins - Read The Hunger Games. Not read Catching Fire and Mockingjay The

Making A Difference

Image
Yesterday I received an email from The British Heart Foundation telling me how much my donation of clothes has made. It honestly put a huge smile on my face and I just had to share this with you guys. Back in May when I was packing up my university room these bags were pushed under my door. They were from the British Heart Foundation and were for old clothes, shoes and other things to donate to the charity. It just got me thinking as I was packing my suitcase that I had old clothes which I had not worn ever or in a long time. They were good quality clothes and I just thought why not declutter my wardrobe. Plus the donated clothes might be able to help a few people. I ended up filling two bags filled with my clothes and I was given the option to right my address and email just so they can get in touch with me to tell me whether or not my clothes made a difference. Anyway yesterday they sent me an email to me and told me my clothes I had donated has raised £15.56. Knowing th

On The Other Side Review

Image
Like with all book reviews I do on this blog there will be no spoilers revealed so don't you worry. Anyway, I started reading On The Other Side by Carrie Hope Fletcher on Saturday and yesterday I was reading it throughout the day. Then when I was in bed I continued to read and I could not put it down until I finished it. Let me just tell you this book is amazing. I fell in love with it as I got more and more into it. It's a love story like no other I've read before and there was just bits of it I was just surprised and how to keep guessing what was going to happen to these characters or how it will end. It was one of those books I couldn't put down. It was so well written and everything just went well perfectly. This Carrie Hope Fletcher's first fiction book I believe and let me just tell you if you enjoy reading then you need to read this book right now. It is truly a wonderful love story full of love, heartbreak and happiness. You will love it. I promise

Travelling, Reading And Not Posting

Image
I'm sorry for not posting for three days as I didn't have any blog posts scheduled and I was too busy to post anything. On Friday I was busy packing as I came to a last minute decision to come home on Saturday instead of Sunday so I was packing up my suitcase and picking things to take home. I then had an early night because I was planning to catch the earliest train as I had a five hour journey ahead of me and I just wanted to make an early start because the sooner I did then the sooner I would get there. Also as you may see from the photo below I took the time to start my new book which is by Carrie Hope Fletcher called On The Other Side. I'm enjoying it so far and was happy to read it on my train journey. Anyway, I arrived at my home and then went out later on that day to the Carnival and I thought I'd be able to post after the carnival but I came home late and was too tired to do anything as I had been up since five in the morning to catch the train. Now

Easy Homemade Pizza Recipe

Image
I was doing a bit of research and came across a video by Lucy Wyndham-Read which is tips to keep fit and healthy at university. One of the tips was a recipe for a homemade pizza which I thought I would try it as it is really simple and quick to make. Basically it's a homemade pizza. Now when I was out shopping I bought the ingredients needed which are - 1 wholemeal tortilla wrap - Tomatoes blended/Tomato puree (I didn't have a blender so I just used tomato puree) - Grated cheese - Ham You may have noticed that the base is a tortilla wrap, not pizza dough but it still works. Anyway, I got my wrap and spread the tomato puree over it then I added the cheese. You could probably add more ingredients. You don't have to stick to just a cheese and ham one. You can have peppers, sweetcorn, anything you want really. Then I put it under the grill for about ten minutes or until the cheese melted. However I wish I had left it a bit longer so that the wrap could be more crispi

After You Review

Image
*This post contains no spoilers.* For two days I would not stop reading After You. I wanted to finish it but also as I read it more and more I just wanted to know what happens next. If you don't know After You is the sequel to Me Before You. Basically it is life two years after the first book. Let me just say if you, like me, cried at the first book then this book will give you closure and a little bit of hope. I did not cry at this book as it kind of gave me a bit of closure from this story. I have to say this book is well written by JoJo Moyes. She had written the characters so well and I got a sense of familiarity from when I was reading the first book. I did enjoy this book and it was full of surprises as there was things happening in it that I was not expecting. Basically though something happens at the end of chapter one and you just think 'Oh my god! I have to know what happens next!' as you won't be expecting and you just think of these possibilities t

My Week Of Living In A New House

Image
As some of you know I have been staying at my new house which is going to be my accommodation for university in second year. Now let me just tell you I've learned a few things about living in a house and have some benefits of living in a student house. It's been a very positive week and I'm just going to say this here and now. To begin with I was feeling apprehensive about living in a house rather than living in halls. I was worried it wouldn't feel like a home. I was worried about being so close to my friends that we'd end up falling out and that I wouldn't enjoy living there. However, two weeks ago when I moved into this house I felt excited and honestly the moment I stepped into my bedroom I made it look so nice and when all my stuff was unpacked it just felt like my room. That's a very good tip to when you're moving into your house is making your bedroom as comfortable and cosy as you like because it's your bedroom and only yours. You can

Summer Evenings

At this point in my life I just feel so happy and at bliss. Probably because I have not very many responsibilities in my life but I just genuinely feel so happy right now. Today I felt so much more like an adult than I've ever felt like in my life. I was home alone as my friends were at their placements so I washed up dishes from last night and this morning. I then cleaned the surfaces in the kitchen and living room. Afterwards I did my laundry and tidied up my bedroom. I just felt so relaxed and responsible. I now understand how my mu feels but it wasn't just because I needed to do these jobs around the house it was because I wanted to. I never used to be a tidy person and now I am a tidy person. It's amazing how much your whole life can change within a year. Last year I was messy and relying on my mum to do the jobs around the house but now I feel so independent and just want to get the jobs around the house. I also felt relaxed that I didn't go on my phone much
