My Lazy Morning Routine

Hey guys!

So today I thought I would show you my lazy morning routine which is pretty much my morning routine most of the time because I get really lazy.

The first thing I do in the morning is wake up (obviously).

I then grab my laptop which is on the floor under my bed because that's where I put it after I finish using it at night and also it stops me from standing on it if I need to get up in the middle of the night.

When I log on to my laptop I check my emails and social media.
Twitter: @MeganIvyT

After that I finally decide to leave my bed and make it.
Yes I sleep with a meerkat.

I then go downstairs to the kitchen and make some coffee.

I go back upstairs with my coffee. I don't bother with breakfast because I get lazy. I know it's the important meal of the day but I'm just not hungry in the mornings. Anyway, I lay down on my bed and just watch YouTube videos for a while like Zoella and Sacconejolys.

And that ladies and gentlemen is all I do on my lazy morning routine. Normally I just stay in my pyjamas most of the time, but yeah. That's it.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll be back soon with another post.
Also I'm going to uni on Sunday. I'm so excited and so nervous. Hopefully I'll be able to blog about my first impressions and show you pics of my new room.
Bye guys. I love you all.

One More Week To Go

Hey guys!

So next week on Sunday I'll be starting my journey to university.
I'm both excited and nervous.

I'm excited because it's a new chapter in my life. I get to be independent and make my own choices. I'll also hopefully be able to meet new people and make new friends.

However, I'm nervous because I'll be 3 hours away from home.  I'm not going to know anyone when I first get there. I'm nervous about if I'll struggle with the work. I'm also living on my own. No more mum helping me with things. I have to work out things by myself or with other people.

I know for a fact during the first and second week of uni I'm going to be homesick. That's why from looking at videos and blogs the biggest tip I've found to stop you from being homesick is make your room look as homely and familiar as possible. Bring most of your bedroom decorations that way you won't feel like your sleeping in a strangers bedroom. You'll feel like your sleeping in your room.

Also, even though I'll be far away from my mum. I can easily phone her up if I'm feeling homesick and just talk to her.

But still, it's scary but hopefully I'll get through it. I'm quite lucky though. Most people have already started uni. I'm one of the late starters but that's okay.

Good luck if you're starting your Uni journey.

Anyway, I'll be back on Friday with another post.
Bye guys. I love you all.

My Current Favourites

I decided to make a post about my current favourites as recently I've had a few favourites. Some are new and some are old. So yeah. Let's do this.

So as you know I've been rereading the Harry Potter books so I figured they definitely have to be favourite. I'm currently halfway through the Order of the Phoenix. After rereading them I have noticed how much the films miss out on great parts to the story. Especially in Goblet of Fire and the Order of Phoenix. Then again it does make the books more enjoyable to have extra bits that the movies doesn't.
I haven't read any other books a part from the Harry Potter series even though I have loads of books I haven't read yet. I've already decided what books I'm taking to uni and I'm planning on reading Paper Towns as I haven't got round to it yet and McFly Unsaid Things... Our Story as I also haven't gotten around to reading it.

So recently I discovered Smosh and Smosh games. I had heard of them before but I never really watched them until recently. Now I can't stop watching there videos. I also enjoyed watching their gaming videos. For some reason I like watching YouTubers play games. It's just their commentary that I like. I don't watch all the gaming videos just videos I have heard of or think this could be fun to watch. So yeah.
I also started watching PewDiePie again. I was subscribed to him but I decided to go on to his channel and watch some old videos. That's what I do with a lot of YouTubers.
Can't forget danisnotonfire and AmazingPhil because they're amazing and I love them. Also the Hillywood Show because they were first YouTubers I subscribed to and started watching. Their parodies are amazing as well as their other videos which I also enjoy watching.

TV shows
My current favourite TV show is The Great British Bake Off, mostly because I love food. Also though I actually learn what different bakes are called and I love the end results. On Netflix I got into Once Upon A Time which is amazing. If you haven't watched it yet. Do it. It's amazing. You won't regret it. I loved every minute of it. I also recently bought Glee Season 1 and 2 on DVD as I love Glee and I wanted to be able to watch it while I was at uni. Finally I have to put Coronation Street in my favourites as I watch it every week without exception.

That's about it really. I haven't really bought any new movies recently or any new make up for that matter.
So yeah. That's all my current favourites.

PS - I do not own any of the images. I just own the writing and this blog.

My Uni Essentials

Hey guys!

So as you know, I'm going off to university on September 27th and that's in 15 days. That why I thought I would make a post of all the essentials I think you should take to uni if you're living away from home.

  1. Kitchen stuff -  As you're living away from home you're going to need to cook for yourself and so you'll need some kitchen stuff. Things like pots and pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, tea towels, spatula, spoon, colander (for pasta and rice). Also take a basic grocery shop before you go so that you don't have to worry about grocery shopping during Freshers week.
  2. Bedding - You're going to be needing to take a duvet, pillows, covers and blankets with you as uni's don't provide you with them. I suggest bring spare covers with you so you can wash the other.
  3. Toiletries - Even though they'll be shops where you live to buy toiletries, it's better to stock up before you go rather than buying it with your student finance. Also girls you may want to check on your make up stock to and see if you're running low on anything before you go.
  4. Stationary - Now most people believe uni to be about the party life, but you're going to have to work to. So stock up on stationary before you go so you don't have to worry about it on your first day of term. This includes, pens, pencils, paper, binders, hole punch, ruler, folders and any other stationary you can think of. Bring it.
  5. Laptop - Even though you'll have access to uni's computers to do work on I think it's better to do work from your own bedroom with a laptop. Especially if you've procrastinated doing an assignment to the night before. It's also easy to carry around with you, so you can take your laptop to the library and do work there or you can take it to your friend's room and do it there.
  6. Bedroom decoration - It can be quite scary moving away from home. (I'm quite scared to be honest with you.) There is a chance you will get home sick in the first couple of weeks or even on the first night, so the best thing to do is just make your room as homely as possible by having posters and photos of your family. Also have decorations that you have in your room at home. This will help you relax a bit more and make it feel like this is your home (which it is).
  7. Entertainment - Now, most of the time you may be stuck in your room or in your flat and you have nothing to do. I suggest bring some things that will stop you from being bored like books, DVDs, games and even a pack of cards. These may even help you to socialise if the rest of your friends are bored.
  8. TV and game console - Now this may not be an essential to everyone but it is for me as I have a TV and a PS3. I'm bringing this as my laptop doesn't have a DVD player but also I will be able to watch Netflix, iPlayer on a bigger screen. Just pre warning you, you may need a TV licence if your planning on watching digital TV or live TV. If you're only using it to watch movies and catch up on TV then you don't need one.
Anyway, that's the essentials you'll need to bring to uni. I know there's more but this is just the basics that you may have forgotten. Good luck if you're going to uni soon or if you're already there and I'll be back on Monday with another post.

Bye guys. I love you all.

Me-Time Tag

What do you watch or read during me-time?
I like to watch films that make me smile. So for me it'll be a musical. I either watch Cats or Shrek the musical as they make me smile and I know they'll cheer me up if I'm feeling down.
I'll also read whatever book I'm currently reading and right now I'm rereading the Harry Potter books. I'm currently on my favourite of the series which is Goblet of Fire.
I also like to read fanfiction because I enjoy it and there is some good fanfiction out there.

What do you wear during me-time?
Comfy clothes like leggings, cosy socks, onesies, pyjamas, jumpers. Anything I feel comfortable in.

What are your me-time beauty products?
Sometimes I'll put on some nail polish if I feel like it. I may put some moisturiser on. I'm not really wanting to put some make up on just because it's me time and I tend to get lazy on me time. I will put on some lip balm and also deodorant because I don't want to be smelling bad.

Current favourite nail polish?
My current favourite nail polish is by Colour Club and it's dark blue colour. I really like putting it on.

What do you eat/drink during me-time?
It really depends on how I'm feeling and what is at home. If it was dinner wise I'd probably eat noodles or pasta, but if it was a snack I'd probably eat chocolate. As you can tell not very healthy during me time.
To drink it'll probably be hot chocolate or coffee or tea. I like to have a warm drink when I'm having some me time.

Current favourite candle?
Honestly, I don't usually burn candles but there is one candle that I love the smell of and that's the Floral Thoughts Sweet Berry scented candle which is in the Card Factory. I really love the smell of it.

Do you ever have outdoor me-time?
Sometimes. I may go for a walk up my street or I may just take myself to a coffee shop and have some coffee on my own in Starbucks or Costa. I may even just sit in the garden or on the beach reading a book.

Would you ever go see a movie alone?
I want to, but a part of me feels like I can't fully enjoy the movie in a cinema without someone being beside me.

Favourite online shop?
It has to be Amazon. I literally buy everything from there.

Anything to add? What else do you do during me-time?
I like to play video games such as Harry Potter or Tomb Raider because I find it fun and I enjoy doing it during my me time.

Anyway, that's all the questions. Feel free to do this tag if you want to. I didn't make it. I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll be back on Monday with another post.

Autumn ♥

Hey guys!

So summer is officially over and now it's time for Autumn or Fall as some people call it.

I really like this time of year, mostly cause it's my birthday October 4th, but there's other things to like:

Cosy socks
Hats, gloves & scarves
Autumn leaves
Wearing onesies
Listening to the rain outside
Bonfire night
Knowing Christmas is in 3 months time
Darker evenings

It's also the start of another school year for some people.

For me it's a new chapter in my life as I have finished school and I'll be going to university on September 27th.

As it's the start of a new season and a new month, maybe it's the time for a positive change.

Start getting up early so that your days feel longer.

Maybe start getting fit and having a healthy lifestyle.

It's up to you.
